Sketch Saturday Challenge #389
Happy Saturday! Today’s new Sketch Saturday challenge is sponsored by The Paper Shelter who is offering a $10.00 gift certificate to their store for our random winner. You have until Friday, December 4th to enter for a chance to win.
Here’s the sketch:
The Paper Shelter digital stamp used for my card is called “December 26th.” You can use the pre-colored image like I did or you can color up your own image. I printed two images out and popped up the second one over the first to give shadow and dimension. For the paper I used a Studio Calico 6 x 6 pad called, “Wonderland” and added a Tim Holtz label tag and sentiment. Using pre-colored images is a great way to get lots of homemade Christmas cards in a hurry.
Come on over to the Sketch Saturday Blog to enter and don’t forget to stop by the Sketch Saturday Facebook Page and give is a like!

For my card today I used the sweet showcase image called, “Acorn For Dinner.” I colored her with Copic Markers, cut her out with My Favorite Things circle dies, and added a title cut from the Carta Bella “Fall Blessing” papers.
We’d also love for you to visit our Facebook Community Page where you can post your creations in addition to adding them on the blog. Adding “Watercolor” to your projects is so trendy and I can’t wait to see what your creations bring this week.
Technique Junkies: Walk In The Park
Hello Junkies!
The Crafty Nurse here with my last post for the month using the November release stamps. My card features the “Brick Wall Background S646” and “Park Walk SD665.” I began by stamping the brick wall with Black Onyx Versafine Ink then heat embossed with clear powder. I created the brick pattern using art anthology in Teracotta-Velvet, Pumpkin Spice-Sorbet, and Kenyan Copper-Sorbet. I then edged the entire stamp using “Black Leather Jacket Sorbet,” which created great texture. For my focal point, I stamped “Park Walk SD665” which I sprayed with Art Anthology Colorations in Avocado and Timeless.
I hope everyone is enjoying some family time for the Thanksgiving Holiday this week and hope you’ll find some time between eating and family to get inky.
Gobble, Gobble!
