It’s the second Wednesday of October and that means it’s time for a Designers Choice Challenge at The House That Stamp Built! Today, Patti is hosting our challenge and she has chosen “Food or Beverage.”
My card features Repeat Impressions “Coffee Cling Set 9303P” which I paper pieced using Carta Bella Fall Blessing paper pack.
I hope you break out your creativity for the “Food or Beverage” Designers Choice Challenge this week at The House that Stamps Built. Happy Wednesday!
Happy Saturday my Friends. Today at Send a Smile 4 Kids (SAS4Kids) we are celebrating “Christmas in July.”
If you aren’t familiar with SAS4Kids, their commitment is to support hospitalized children by providing home-made cards that parents, staff, or even the kids themselves can give during this time of need. It’s not a sad cause, in fact, we don’t focus on Get Well cards at all, but make the cards happy and fun. I sure hope you will join both in our challenge and by sending in some cards for kids. To find out more about donation, look here.
This challenge will run through Friday, August 5th and give you a great head start on some holiday card making. This challenge is sponsored by some very generous donors who are giving away some great gifts for the winning entry. The design team also chooses their favorite so there are lots of ways to win.
The donors and prizes are:
1) The Cutting Cafe: 3 Digital/Cut Files for our Winner
2) Kitchen Sink Stamps: Prize: $25 Dollar Gift Certificate
Wow – thank you sponsors, Send a Smile 4 Kids really appreciates your support.
Now, let’s get to some inspiration! My card is made using a PDF file from The Cutting Cafe, called “Christmas Card Fun.” The cool thing about Cutting Cafe is their very affordable files come in both PDF and SVG files, which are used for electronic cutters. As I don’t have an electronic cutter, I printed off the PDF on design paper and embellished with gold Sakura pen. On the Cutting Cafe website, there are many great tutorials using this same file for both a shaker and treat cup project. My snowflakes are cut from glitter paper using a Lawn Fawn die and the sentiment is Paper Smooches.
I hope you’ll join us for our Christmas in July Challenge and consider donating some cards to Send a Smile 4 Kids.
Here’s the sketch:
For my card I chose a great image from Robyn’s Fetish called “Sunflower 2” which I colored with Copic Markers and fussy cut. I used an older spellbinders rectangle die as a frame and some of my favorite fall themed paper paper by Carte Bella. My sentiment is Hero Arts.
I can’t wait to see what you come up with using the new Sketch Saturday Sketch!
It’s Friday and time for more a new post at A Day For Daisies! This week we are continuing to add “Watercolor” to our projects using the Native Hearts Showcase images. The challenge will run through Thursday, December 3rd at noon on the A Day For Daisies Blog!
For my card today I used the sweet showcase image called, “Acorn For Dinner.” I colored her with Copic Markers, cut her out with My Favorite Things circle dies, and added a title cut from the Carta Bella “Fall Blessing” papers.
We’d also love for you to visit our Facebook Community Page where you can post your creations in addition to adding them on the blog. Adding “Watercolor” to your projects is so trendy and I can’t wait to see what your creations bring this week.
It’s Saturday and time for a new Send a Smile 4 Kids challenge. Today we are celebrating Anything Goes 4 Kids! You have until Friday, December 4th to enter.
Now, let’s see what this week’s sponsors are generously donating:
1) Crackerbox Palace – offering 3 digital images of winners choice
2) All Dressed Up – offering 2 digital images of winners choice
3) Sassy Studios – offering 4 digital images of winners choice.
My first card features “Spot The Dog” colored with Copics and using a My Favorite Things cover plate die. My paper pack is “Warm & Cozy” by Carta Bella and I added a Lawn Fawn hat from “Hat’s Off To You.” My sentiment is from My Favorite Things.
My second card uses an adorable image by All Dressed Up called, “For You.” I used my Copic’s in mint and coral to match with the Simple Stories “Vintage Bliss” paper pad. The card base die is WPlus9 and the hearts are Lifestyle craft dies. I created the clouds using a handmade template and chalks and my sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp.
I can’t wait to see what you come up with for your Anything Goes 4 Kids.
Happy Friday! It’s time for a new Brown Sugar Challenge and this week “Tag Your It” is our theme. You can use a tag on your card, make a tag, or find an image with a tag. As always, be creative!

For my card today, I colored Christmas Penquin” with Copic Markers after die cutting him out of a My Favorite Things tag. For the snow, I stamped Hero Arts Silver Pigment Ink using a Simon Says Stamp called, “Be Joyful”, then clear embossed it for shine. My design paper is from Carta Bella called “Bundled Up.”

Hello friends! Happy Monday! I’m here with this weeks sketch challenge at From The Heart Stamps. These are great challenges because you can use just the sketch, or if you’d like, add the twist. The only requirement is that you use a From The Heart image. The rest is up to you. The twist for this challenge is to make your card “monochromatic.I used only the sketch this week. My image is called “Toboggan Ride” which I colored with Copic’s. The paper used is “Bundled Up” from Carta Bella.” To give movement, I stamped lawn fawn snow flakes with Simon Says Stamp white pigment ink and dotted with stickles.
