Mixed Media Challenge Butterflies & Blooms
I’ve been playing today with mixed media from a lesson by Rae Missingman via Lifebook 2016. This is “layers of love”, a great way to build up lots of layers. It’s perfect for the Mixed Media Challenge.
I used a variety of Golden, Liquitex, FW Pearlescent’s, craft paint, Posca Pens, Gel Pens, book paper, stickles, china markers, dylusions, and stamps. If you haven’t heard of Lifebook 2016, I encourage you to join up – if you like mixed media, it’s a wonderful course that lasts the entire year.
Here are a few other projects I’ve done in this course and apply to the challenge theme.

For my card today I used the beautiful image called, “Magical Dancer Bust.” I colored her up with Copic Markers and framed her using My Minds Eye “Fancy That” collection. Beautiful
Hey Junkies!
The Crafty Nurse here sharing more inky goodness with the May Release Beautiful Faces #PS016 from Palettini collection ofTechnique Junkies. I don’t make a lot of ATC’s, but the size of this new set really works for smaller projects.
The background is call “Soused Suede” from the October 2006 Technique Junkies Newsletter. Yes, an oldie but a goodie. I wanted to do some no-line coloring so I began with Antique Linen Distress Ink, then colored this lovely lady with Daniel Smith watercolors in Quinacridone Violet, Cadmium Yellow Deep Hue, and Cadmium Red Hue. I took some liberty in putting back some lines with a Pitt Pen.
We are fast closing the chapter on our May release and am looking forward to seeing what the June collection brings Until then, stop by Technique Junkies store to pick up this gorgeous set. See you soon!
