A Day For Daisies Sketch Challenge
This week at A Day For Daisies there is a sketch to work with – how fun! There is also a freebie, which I used today for my card. I colored her with Copic Markers and used My Mind’s Eye Lost & Found collection called “Sunshine”. Sentiment is Dina Wakley. Circle Dies are My Favorite Things. I embossed the bricks using a Paper Studio (Hobby Lobby) Folder.

Saturday Sketch – Using #252
As this is the 5th Saturday of the Month, it’s time to Pick your own sketch at Saturday Sketches. I’ve chosen 252 for this sweet Elizabeth Bell stamped image that I colored with Prisma Pencils and Gamsol on Kraft. The paper is from last years Simon Says Stamp Christmas Card Kit no longer available. Sentiment is Clearly Besotted and star dies are Simon Says Stamp.
My Favorite Things Snowman & Sketch Challenge
Happy Saturday. I’m finally feeling a little better having had my tooth pulled a few days ago. Thankfully, I was on vacation this week so really had nothing to do but heal and rest. I changed up my normal card making and brought out my Prismacolor Pencils after I watched this video from Jennifer McQuire on coloring. I have never felt that I could get the same vibrancy with pencils as I can with Copics, but I think it’s about practice, so I thought I’d give it a whirl. The My Favorite Things stamp set was from a previous Operation Write Home grab bag. There are still some available so check it out. The hill is Lawn Fawn’s Stitched Borders.
My second card is using the My Favorite Things Sketch 204. I used last years Simon Says Stamp Christmas Card Kit and a MFT Snowflake and Sentiment.

Operation Write Home Blog Hop Entry
This weekend, Operation Write Home is celebrating “Black Friday” with “Red” Friday by having a blog hop and prize give away. Please support OWH by both going to the blog and doing the hop. It would be extra special if you could make a card and send it in to OWH. This time of year is the lowest donation time and the need remains for cards. The blog focuses on love cards today, so my entry uses a Rubbernecker Stamps set called “Field of Poppies” with a sentiment from the “Love Quotes” set by Clearly Besotted. I used distress inks and the spritzer tool.

Lawn Fawn Challenge “Count Me In”
Well, today kinda stunk. I fractured my tooth and ended up in the oral surgeon’s office to have it removed. So much for enjoying my vacation! All that happening though doesn’t keep me away from my craft table! I made this card using one Doodlebug’s 2013 Christmas collections and the Sweet Christmas Lawn Fawn set. I colored them in copics and created a winter scene. I’m entering this in the “count me in” challenge for Lawn Fawn.

My Favorite Things Sketch 203
Today’s card uses My Favorite Things Sketch 203 and last years Simon Says Stamp Christmas Card kit. The gold paper is from America Crafts Christmas Foil which I used a MFT Flag and Snowflake die on. I also stamped the sentiment from MFT’s “Christmas Ornaments” stamp on a Lawn Fawn stitched rectangle.
From The Heart Stamps: Sketch Challenge 88
It’s Monday time for another From The Heart Sketch Challenge! This sketch is easily reproducible and could be used for your Holiday cards. The theme this week is using woodgrain. You don’t have to use the theme as long as you use the sketch and a FTHS Sketch.
Here is the inspiration board that Faith created. The woodgrain theme is found in my embellishment under the “Joy To The World” sticker. I colored the “Kitten Surprise” digital image with Copic Markers and used the Basic Grey “25th & Pine” 6 x 6 paper pad. Hope to see your creations!
Joy
I was looking at last years Online Card Classes Christmas Workshop and found inspiration from Laura Bassen and her love of plaid stamping. This is very time consuming but the look is really cool. I used Hero Arts Shadow inks and the bar stamp from Simon Says Stamp “Happy Every Day”. The die is from Papertrey Ink and the snowflakes are Martha Stewart that I embossed with Snowflake embossing tinsel from Ranger.

Try Stampin’ on Tuesday: Sketch 194
It’s Tuesday and time for Try Stampin’ on Tuesday Sketch Challenge. The theme this week is “twice as nice”. So many ways to use both the sketch and the theme. I used my November Simon Says Stamp card kit to create a double tree Christmas scene with embossed snow using the stamp from the kit. I like white embossing with the pinks and golds. I also used a Lawn Fawn stitched die to create the hills and the My Favorite Things oval dies as a backdrop for the trees. Hope we will see you at Try Stampin’ on Tuesday with your card entry for this week. Happy Tuesday!
