Ellen Hutson’s Pin-sites Challenge
Hello Friends. Ellen Hutson’s classroom has started hosting monthly challenges. This week it’s a photo challenge based on the following pinterest photo.
For my card I used the stripe pattern from My Minds Eye “Everyday Basics” collection. The foil heart and the rectangles are cut form My Favorite Things dies. The “love” sentiment is Julie Ebersole’s “Brushstroke” die. The rest of the sentiment is WPlus 9 “Thank You” set.

Open-Minded Crafting Challenge #33 – Food Related
It’s another busy Saturday at The Crafty Nurses’ Blog and today at Open-Minded Crafting Challenges we are celebrating FOOD! Now, those of you who know me understand that next to crafting, this may be one of my most favorite subjects. LOL. That said, for our challenge we are asking for “food related” projects. You have until Friday, April 10th to show us your food related entries. Our winners are chosen randomly and we have some super sponsors offering prizes for our challenge.
Here are our sponsors:
Prize: 3 Images of Winners Choice
Prize: 3 Image Sets of Winners Choice
Prize: 3 Images of Winners Choice
Prize: 3 Images of Winners Choice
For inspiration, I used a Drawn with Character image called, “I Chews You”. There are so many sweet food related images on their site it was hard to pick just one. I colored the gum-ball machine with Copic Markers and used Doodlebug’s “Take Note” paper pack.
The dies are all My Favorite Things with the exception of the Sizzix key hole die the image sits on. I love these bright colors!
Come on over and enter a card to tell us what food related items inspire you!
March Simon Says Stamp Kit Card 7 & 8
Here are the last two cards from this March kit. The first uses Operation Write Home’s Weekly Sketch #250. I added some Bazzill heavy weight vellum and embossed the Hero Arts & Operation Write Home fundraiser stamp with Ranger’s Liquid Platinum embossing powder. The circles & rectangle were cut with My Favorite Things dies.
My second card is an example of covering up a mistake. I didn’t plan to have a flower at the top left, but I messed up the liquid pearls and tried to remove them but made a royal mess so I had to cover it with the flower. I stamped the background with the flowers in vanilla Hero Arts Shadow Ink and Fog Simon Says Stamp ink.

March Simon Says Stamp Kit Card 5 & 6
Here are a couple more cards from the March Kit. The first card features the sketch from Retro Sketches and the second is a sketch from Fusion Card Challenge. In addition to the kit, I used the rectangle dies from Lawn Fawn and both Hero Arts Shadow and Simon Says Stamp inks.

From The Heart Stamps Monthly Challenge
Happy Thursday! Today I’ve finished my March Stamp of the Month for From The Heart Stamps. It’s a sweet Easter image. If you enter this month, you’ll get a free stamp for April. There are some other stamps on sale too, so go check them out! I colored the image with Copic Markers and used a the Basic Grey “Paper Cottage” 6 x 6 pack. I cut out a My Favorite Things border die to make the awning and finished it with Via Pearl Pen.

The House That Stamps Built: Sketch Challenge
It’s the fourth Wednesday of the Month and time for The House That Stamps Built sketch challenge. You have until Tuesday, March 31st to enter for a chance to win a $25.00 gift certificate at Repeat Impressions.
Here’s the Sketch:
For my card today I broke out my favorite Kuretake watercolors. I started by stamping the Repeat Impressions Large Butterfly 9110-L with archival ink to ensure it didn’t bleed. I made a few different colored panels to match the butterflies and ran them through the swiss dots Cuttlebug folder to give some dimension. I used the Lawn Fawn stitched rectangle to create the top layer. The sentiment is cut from an oval label die by My Favorite Things and stamped with Repeat Impressions Happy Birthday 1113-D. I finished off the card with some black splatters and jute I got from Hobby Lobby and called it a wonderfully colorful spring card!
Come join us at The House That Stamps Built, you may be our next winner! Oh, and don’t forget to get your discount code from my blogs sidebar when you shop at Repeat Impressions Stamps.
