Happy Monday! It’s time for another Cards in Envy challenge . This week our theme is “Keep it Simple.” These are cards you can make in about 10 minutes with some simple stamping.
As a reminder, Cards in Envy asks that your card fit into a standard A2 envelope for ease of mailing, but that doesn’t mean they have to be one layer or clean and simple.
For today’s card I used My Favorite Things “Beautiful Blooms” stamped simply and popped up for dimension. My sentiment is Simon Says Stamps “Friendship Messages” as designed by Kristina Werner. It’s all sitting on a nice kraft card base and Bob’s your uncle – it’s done.
Hope we’ll see your “Keep it Simple” cards over at the Cards in Envy challenge. You have until March 19th to enter.
Happy Monday! Summer is in the air my friends and I don’t know about you, but it’s sure hot here in Virginia. In keeping with the theme, here at Cards in Envy we are having a “heat wave” challenge! As always, please make sure your card fits into a standard A2 card without any large lumps or bumps. The challenge will run through Sunday, July 31st. Our design team will also be choosing their favorite cards to feature on the The Cards in Envy blog.
My card features a Nesto an adorable Mo Manning image. I colored him up with my copic markers E000, E00, E11, E21, E04, E15, Y19, Y15, Y11, BG49, BG13, and BG11. To give a little interest, I die cut the MFT Stitched cloud edges die and stamped the Simon Says Stamp “Skater” sentiment.
Where ever you are this summer, I hope you are enjoying it and can take some time to enter our “Heat Wave” challenge at Cards in Envy.
Happy Monday! That means it’s time for a new Cards in Envy Challenge and this week we are celebrating White Wedding cards! Please make sure your card fits into a standard A2 envelope without any large lumps or bumps.
The challenge will run through Sunday, July 3rd and our design team will be choosing their favorite cards to feature on the The Cards in Envy blog.
For my card I started with Simon Says Stamps “Heart Parade” die which I cut out using Neenah Solar White card stock and adhered using “Stick it”. The sentiment is also from Simon Says Stamp called, “Congratulations“. I added wink of stella over a few of the hearts and then topped with Glossy Accents.
I’m looking forward to seeing what you come up with this week for the Cards in Envy “White Wedding” Challenge!
I’m here today with a little Mid-Week DT Inspiration for From The Heart Stamps! My card today is colored with Copic Markers using the “Surprised Birdbrain.” I hope you’ll stop by this week to check out both the Sketch Challenge and the Stamp of the Month Challenge at the From The Heart Stamps Blog.
Vellum can be a bit challenging to use in your card making, but I love the way that it can mute down a bright design for a more subtle mood. The other question is how do you adhere the vellum without seeing the adhesive? The way I chose was to use brads. I’m sure you all have some of those in your stash, I know I sure do!
I began by creating a cluster of circles using multiple Hero Arts Shadow Inks. I heat embossed the Lil’ Inker’s Modern Mehndi stamp for the sentiment and finished off with Hero Arts pearls.
I hope you’ll join us at A Blog Named Hero for our June Vellum Card Challenge! This month we are collaborating with Lil’ Inker so I’ll be back later this month with more inspiration using their great stamps!

My card today features All Dressed Up image, “Pirate Puppy” which I colored with Copic Markers. The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp and Mama Elephant exclusive stamp called “Skater Kids”. The window is the new My Favorite Things die and the paper is Carta Bella, “Boy oh Boy”.
I can’t wait to see what you come up with using Bright Colors 4 Kids.

Here’s the sketch:
For my card I chose Paper Shelter’s “Rose” which I used in the pre-colored form. I love the vibrant colors that Paper Shelter has in their images so you can make a speedy card of great quality. The design paper is from Glitz “Felicity” collection. The sentiments are from Simon Says Stamp in Kristina Werner’s handwriting.
I can’t wait to see what you come up with using the new Sketch Saturday Sketch!
Happy Saturday! Today’s new Sketch Saturday challenge is sponsored by Simon Says Stamp who is offering a very generous $25.00 gift certificate to their store for our random winner. You have until Friday, April 15th for a chance to win.
Here’s the sketch:
For my card I used the July 2015 Simon Says Stamp Kit, “Sailing.” It comes with a sweet little sailboat die that is still available. I used Simon Says Stamp “Surf Blue” that comes in the Hybrid Cubes for the waves and the “mini stars” which is perfect for a little accent. The sentiment is Simon’s “Best Hugs.”
YEAH – it’s Friday and time for the A Day For Daisies post! For this challenge, we are going back to September 2011 to showcase this sweet kit. We are still accepting entries for our “add pearls” challenges over at the ADFD Blog. You have until Thursday, March 24th at Noon to enter.
For todays card I used the image called, “Hanging Out”. She was a pleasure to color with Copic Markers. The background is a cuttlebug dot folder and my sentiment is Simon Says Stamp.
Kathy, The Crafty Nurse here today with my collaboration card share with Simon Says Stamp. If you are ever looking for me you can always check my Simon Says Stamp cart, because I’m usually there buying up the store!
I’ve been a long time Simon Kit Club member and I couldn’t resist using the Sparkle & Shine stamp set by Kristina Werner. For the technique, I popped over to Jennifer McQuire’s Blog for her background embossing techniques.
I like the look of a circle cut out from the side and popping up the card panel for dimension. I used a Perfect Medium Pen to emboss my heart with some of that sparkly Enchanted Gold powder. The flags were cut out of additional embossed pieces using a My Favorite Things fishtail die.
The month is coming to an end very soon, so I hope you’ve gotten your card entered for this month’s chance at the Simon Says Stamp gift certificate. Keep sparkling!
