Hello friends! Happy Monday! I’m here with sketch #162 at From The Heart Stamps. These are great challenges because you can use just the sketch, or if you’d like, add the twist. The only requirement is that you use a From The Heart image and the sketch. The rest is up to you. The twist for this challenge is: Snow Day.
As you can tell from my card, I chose not to use the “twist” this week, but just the sketch. My image is the new, “Bunnies and Butterflies” which I colored with Copic Markers and cut out with a stitched My Favorite Things stitched cross stitch die. The background is textured with a Tim Holtz stencil and distress ink in Stormy Sky. The bow element is a Paper Smooches die.
Hello friends! Happy Monday! The sketch challenges are back on here at From The Heart Stamps. Today, we have Sketch 161, which has two twists. The first is the color option and the second is to use a birthday cake.
The only rule is to use a From The Heart image and the sketch and the rest is up to you. Here’s our sketch:
For my card I am still in a “Valentine” mood. To show case this I used February’s Free “Stamp of the Month” called, “Hogs & Kisses Pigwit”. If you participated in our last SOTM challenge in June, you’ll have gotten this image for free in your e-mail. If not, there’s still a way to get the image. Check it out here.
I colored up Pigwit with Copic Markers in my favorite piggy color combination of R01, YG67, & Ro2. I also used the warm grey’s in W5, W3, W1, W0 & W00. The candies are colored using RV29, RV25, RV23, & RV21 and finally, the ground is E43, E41 and E40.
Were back! We’ve missed all of you during our hiatus but the design team has come back together for the From the Heart Stamps February blog hop. This month our theme is “Love and Friendship.” With Valentine’s around the corner, what a great way to get some inspiration from all the FTHS designers so please make sure you stop by all of their blogs to see their hop projects.
Here is my project, using “In My Heart Birdbrain.” As many of you know I’ve pulled back from a lot of the design team work I’d been doing and it felt really nice to get back into some Copic coloring using FTHS images.
Now head over to Kelly Schelske’s blog and see what she has created. As you hop along, leave a comment on each blog. We will select a random winner from the comments on each blog and on the FTHS blog to win one image of your choice.
Our hop will end on Sunday February 5th 2017 at 6 am, and the winners will be posted on Wednesday February 8th.
Thanks for hopping with us today.
Welcome to our From the Heart Stamps September blog hop. This month our theme is “A Random Image”. The design team was asked to pick a number and from that number, a From The Heart Stamps image was provided. I received “Birthday Pick-up”. YEAH!!
For my card, I colored up “Birthday Pick-up” with Copic Markers in Y04, B23, RV23, G12, W1, W3, W5, W7, C1, C3, C5, & C7. My design paper is “Rise & Shine” from Amy Tangerine paper. My sentiment is from My Favorite Things.
Now head over to Kelly Schelske’s and see what she has created.
Thanks for hopping with us today!
I colored the image with Copic Markers and used a frame die by My Favorite Things. The design paper is Bazzill.
Hope we see you this week at From the Heart Stamps to participate in the Sketch challenge.
Hello friends! Happy Monday! I’m here with sketch #161 at From The Heart Stamps which is a little different. As you may have heard, our sweet Faith, owner of From The Heart Stamps, is in the hospital. The team wanted you to know we are still here so we’ve given you a choice of past sketches this week to choose from.
If you didn’t know, all previous sketches are on the blog gallery in the top right hand corner. Some the the sketches have twists and some don’t. Just use a From The Heart image and the sketch and the rest is up to you.
For my card I used Sketch #47 with image “Nerd Boy Balloon”. This is such a fun image! I colored him up with Copic Markers and added glossy accents for his glasses! For my dies, I used the circles by My Favorite Things.
I’m here today with a little Mid-Week DT Inspiration for From The Heart Stamps! My card today is colored with Copic Markers using the “Doggone Birthday.” I hope you’ll stop by this week to check out both the Sketch Challenge and the Stamp of the Month Challenge at the From The Heart Stamps Blog.
Hello friends! Happy Monday! My brain is still on vacation so I am late in posting my challenge! ACK!! I’m here with sketch #159 at From The Heart Stamps. These are great challenges because you can use just the sketch, or if you’d like, add the twist. The only requirement is that you use a From The Heart image and the sketch. The rest is up to you. The twist for this challenge is to use a Gate Fold Technique.
I used just the sketch this week. My image is one of the sweet Faithful Friends images called, “Hold Tight Hugs” which I colored with Copic Markers. My paper is Glitz Design called, “Felicity” and I used the MFT Flag dies as embellishments. My sentiment is a Simon Says Stamp die which I layered and then coated with Pico Embellisher.
I’m here today with a little Mid-Week DT Inspiration for From The Heart Stamps! My card today is colored with Copic Markers using the “Hot Chick Flamingo.” For the background I added 91% Alcohol with cotton tips after adding a base color of marker. I love how the alcohol reacts and makes a fun background.
I hope you’ll stop by this week to check out both the Sketch Challenge and the Stamp of the Month Challenge at the From The Heart Stamps Blog.
It’s Wednesday and time for the From The Heart Stamps Mid-Week Design Team Inspiration. Today, I made a Father’s Day card using the Hamlet PigWit “Tee It Up by From the Heart Digital Images. I began making the background as shown by Tim Holtz in the June Tag of the Month using his “stripes” stencil. Also, if you weren’t aware, Chemistry 101, 102, and 103 are now available through Online Card Classes. This is one of the best classes to learn more about Distress Inks.
For this image I used Copics and added some Hickory Smoke distress ink to the edges. The circle die is by My Favorite Things. One of the ways to make sure your colors match, is to make you own paper using Distress Ink, which I did with Barn Door behind my image. I created my own bricks by applying distress ink inside the embossing folder, running in through, then adding more ink when it’s out. Cool, Huh?
