CAS(e) This Sketch
Got this new stamp set from Alte New “Hennah Elements” and thought it was perfect for the CAS(e) this Sketch challenge 78. I colored the images with copics then fussy cut them. A great way to make suer you look like your an expert cutter is to outline your image with a black brush marker so it has a perfect black outline. The sentiment is embossed with clear over Versafine and cut from Simon Says Stamp “Friendship Messages”. The label die is also from Simon and the black gems are from Michael’s. Hop you are enjoying your weekend. I sure am. I love not having to do homework all weekend!
Simon Says Stamp June Kit – Card 2
Card 2 for Simon Says Stamp June kit uses Seize the Sketch #21 sketch on a kraft card stock base stamped with Hero Arts Shadow Inks in Butter Bar, Wet Cement and Soft Stone. The image is a Club Scrap Stamp from Simply Beautiful Kit, embossed and colored using Distress Inks on 140 lb watercolor paper by Strathmore. The frame is card stock and washi tape from kit.
New Flag Die from Taylored Expressions
I just got this new die from Taylored Expressions and is PERFECT for any hero cards through Operation Write Home. The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink called “Military Hero”.
Simon Says Stamp June Card Kit – #1
Here is my first card from the June Simon Says Stamp Kit. Unfortunately, the postman smashed in my box so my card stock was ruined, at least on the left side of it. Thankfully though, SSS is so great, they are sending all new card stock. This card is made from Sketch 68 and a digital image by “From the Heart”, a great digital image store. I combined the droopy birdbrain with the Paper Smooches “My Bad” sentiment. Thought it paired well. I colored the image w/copics and then used some chalks to create the grass and clouds.
Simon Says Stamp Kit, Card 12
Here is another scrap card from my May Simon Says Stamp kit. When I was done I ran the whole card through an embossing folder from The Paper Studio (Hobby Lobby). The sentiment is embossed w/white powder and the faux stitching is made with my favorite pen, the Signo Uniball White Pen. I splattered the background with Dylusions “White Linen”. I love how many cards you can get out of one kit.
Simon Says Stamp May Kit – Card 11
Feeling a little silly when I made this one. I wanted to use one of the monsters in this kit, but wasn’t sure how to put it on the card. Then, I had an Ah….ha… moment – I’ll use a tee shirt die from My Favorite Things. Not sure the “thanks” sentiment goes with it, but it needed something. I used the kit stencil and distressed the edges. Entered in Simon Says Stamp anything Goes Challenge. Thanks for checking out my card!
Simon Says Stamp May Kit, Card 10
Here is Card 10 (well, actually 11, but I sent number 10 in the mail without taking a picture – oops). I’m getting down to my scraps now so I just pieced a few pieces together on a card front, slapped on a sentiment and some die cut stars and called it done. Entered in Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge.
Watercolor Background
This card is inspired by Laura Bassen of Doublestick Heaven and is a technique of adding Distress Ink’s to a stamping block, spritzing with water and applying to watercolor paper. Check out her fun video for details. The sentiment stamp is from the new release from Simon Says Stamp called Friendship Messages. The butterfly is a Cherry Lynn Die. I entered the card in Shopping our Stash, and Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge.
