Technique Junkies March Blog Hop!
It’s the first of the month and that means it’s time for a Technique Junkies Blog Hop showcasing the new March release! The fabulous Technique Junkie Design Team will provide an amazing selection of inspiration for your enjoyment. I know I have said this before, but WOW, this release has got to be one of the best yet. Amazing Pat, you have completely outdone yourself.
Pat is again offering 15% off all March Release Stamps for one week! Also, if you haven’t tried the new Minx Shimmer Ink you are missing out on some fabulous inky goodness. In addition to the Minx, Technique Junkies has other great art supplies like stencils, art anthology colorations, velvets, and sorbets to help you on your creative journey.
The background on my first card uses “180 Degree Stamping from the Bodacious Bacground CD. I stamped the new Palettini image called, Vintage Butterfly Collection #PO35″ using AlteNew dusk and Ocean Waves crisp ink. The focal image is “Veiled Woman #SD658” stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copic Markers. I also added “Black Leather Jacket” Dimensional Sorbet to her hat and coat for shine. The sentiment is “Classy & Fabulous SDX070.”
My next card features the new stamp, “Whimsical World #S634” using a version of “Stained Resist Technique in the Artistic Effects CD.” Instead of Distress Stains, I used the new Minx Shimmer Inks I talked about above in Bankroll, Decadent, and Panache. You can’t really appreciate how shimmery they are in real life. I finished the card by die cutting several Lawn Fawn stitched frames and popping them up.
My next card uses the Vintage Butterfly Collection #P035″ stamp with the background called, Irresistible Rainbow from Bodacious Background CD. The colors used were Blueprint Sketch, Lucky Clover, Ripe Persimmon, Mustard Seed, and Candy Apple Red. They appear muted as the paper is glossy. The sentiment is “Kindness Matters SDX026.” In this technique, you should see a ghosting of the initial Versamark stamping, however, my pad was dry, so it isn’t as apparent, but I’m still was happy with the final outcome.
My next card is another Palettini Collection stamp called “French Bicycle Collage #P037.” For this card I used the “Big Bold Blending technique from “Bodacious Background CD.” I then inked around the edges with Vintage Photo and Ground Espresso Distress Inks and gave additional texture using the scoring board. My sentiment is Tim Holtz letters edged with distress ink and adhered with Tombo Mono glue.
Now, that I’ve shown you what I have to offer, I don’t want you to miss any of the other design teams creativity so I encourage you to start hopping at the Technique Junkies Design Team Blog.
If you are arriving from Marilyn’s Blog, you in the right place! Gorgeous project Marilyn!
The next stop is the wildly creative Jane Bosi.
