A Blog Named Hero – Rays of Hope
Hello! The Crafty Nurse here with a project using Ellen Hutson’s Essential’s By Ellen’s stamps and dies for the “Texture” challenge at A Blog Named Hero. A very special thank you to Ellen for allowing us to play with their great product this month. Her generous spirit is known to many who frequent her store.
I was so excited to use the “Stay Salty” Essentials By Ellen stamp and die set to play with this month. I started by applying table salt to a wet watercolor wash to create texture and play off the “stay salty” theme. I cut up that panel and stacked it for even more interest. The sky was created with watercolors, distress inks, and a layering stencil.
I hope you’ll join us at A Blog Named Hero for our September “Texture” Card Challenge! See you there!

Two things…First, table salt??? I love trying new techniques and just tried the camouflage, but no table salt. Love your card
2nd: where can I find an address to send cards for kids? Thanks, Cely
