Cards in Envy Challenge: Let’s Play Dress Up
Happy Monday! It’s time for another Cards in Envy challenge. Our theme is “Let’s Play Dress Up” which means you can enter any card featuring Halloween Costumes.
The Cards in Envy challenge asks that your cards fit into a standard A2 envelope for ease of mailing, but that doesn’t mean they have to be one layer or clean and simple. You have until November 5th, to enter.
My card today features a digital image by Tiddly Inks which I colored with Copic Markers. The purple features RV99, V17, V15 & V12. The Hair is a unique combination is W9, R59, R56 and E97, a combination I learned from Alyce over at Kit & Clowder in her monthly coloring classes.
We look forward to your “Let’s Play Dress Up cards over at Cards in Envy!

The Cards in Envy challenge asks that your cards fit into a standard A2 envelope for ease of mailing, but that doesn’t mean they have to be one layer or clean and simple. You have until October 15, 2017, to enter.
My card today features WPlus9’s Autumn Leaves set which I gold heat embossed on dark card stock and then colored with primsa color pencils. I finished it off with some Art Anthology Gold spray and a “Thanks” die cut.

Cards in Envy Challenge: White on White
Happy Monday! That means it’s time for a new Cards in Envy Challenge and this week we are celebrating White on White cards! Please make sure your card fits into a standard A2 envelope.
The challenge will run through Sunday, July 2nd. Our design team will be choosing their favorite cards to feature on the The Cards in Envy blog.
For my card I started with a Spellbinders Die and created a shaker card with white sequence. My sentiment is from WPlus9 called, “Doodle Buds”, stamped in Hero Arts Silver.
White on White cards are so fun to create, but hard to photograph. I ended up using a filter to get that tonal white on white feel. I’m looking forward to seeing what you come up with this week for the Cards in Envy Challenge!
A Day For Daisies Surprise Blog Hop
As many of you know, A Day For Daisies has some of the most GORGEOUS digital images out there. I was over the moon thrilled to be asked to participate in a special surprise blog hop dedicated to Tammy, the creator of A Day For Daisies images. The current and some of the past Design Team members want to show our gratitude and thank Tammy for the blessings and joys we have received as members of the A Day For Daisies Design Team.
Our hop theme is “A Collection of ADFD Favorites.” Each DT member will feature her favorite ADFD image. The hop has hidden prizes so don’t forget to comment beginning today until 9:00 p.m. eastern standard time on Tuesday, February 27, 2017.
We also want your participation! Enter a card over at the A Day For Daisies Challenge Blog using an ADFD image. You have until Friday, March 3rd to enter your cards.
For my favorite image, I’ve chosen “Doll Face 5”. I’ve colored her up using my favorite Copic Markers. The skin is done in Eooo, Eoo, E21, E11, E04 & R20. The hair is E55, E53, E51 & E50 with added color pencil work. Her luscious lips are R89, R35 and R14 and her eyes are B04 & B12. That glorious background is a super technique I learned from Jennifer Dove which uses 91% alcohol and copic markers applied off a palette in B29 & B25. I then texturized with burlap and more alcohol for a great background. My sentiment is Wplus 9’s Hand Lettered Hello and my frame is the new Hero Arts Infinity Postage Stamp die.
Here is the original card I posted several years ago using this image.
All prize winners will be announced on the ADFD Blog on Saturday, March 4, 2017. We hope you will join our celebration of the thousands of images Tammy has created. Rules for the challenge are posted on the right sidebar of the ADFD Blog! Are you ready to HOP?!?
Thanks Tammy!!

My card features watercolor the “Art Impressions Way”. This is a great tutorial method that Art Impressions offers using their rubber stamps. My sentiment is from WPlus9’s Doodle Buds.

A Day For Daisies: Add Watercolor Challenge Showcasing “Native Hearts” 11-20-15
It’s Friday and time for a new challenge at A Day For Daisies! This week we are adding “Watercolor” to our projects using the showcase images from “Native Hearts”. The challenge will run through Thursday, December 3rd at noon on the A Day For Daisies Blog!
For my card today I used the sweet image called, “Tree Top Dreams” I began by using Ken Oliver’s Color Burst’s Watercolor pigments in Sepia, Yellow Ochre, and Burnt Orange. I then applied Distress Ink through Tim Holtz stencils in woodgrain and Dot Fade. The grass was also created with Distress Inks and stamped with an Impressions Obsession’s crackle stamp.
The “Tree Top Dreams” image was colored in copic markers and distressed. My “You” sentiment is from a Simon Says Stamp die joined with a WPlus9 “Hand Lettered Thanks” image. Finally, the stitched leaves are a Lawn Fawn die.
We’d love for you to visit our Facebook Community Page where you can post your creations in addition to adding them on the blog. Adding watercolor to your projects is super trendy and I can’t wait to see your creations this week.
