From The Heart Stamps March Blog Hop!
Welcome to our From the Heart Stamps blog hop. This month the theme is “Case It” using one of our fellow design team members as inspiration! To “case” another’s card, we use those elements of their style and make it our own.
As you hop along, please leave a comment on each blog. One random commenter will be selected on each blog to win an image of choice from the FTHS store.
If you have arrived from Kathy Curry’s website, you are in the right place, if not why don’t you start on the From the Heart Stamps blog, so you don’t miss anything.
For my card I used the fabulous inspiration of Nazeema “Calypso” Thompson from her post of January 7, 2016 where she created a shaker using sentiments as a background, used partial images, and flag banners.
Here’s her card I “Case-d”:
Here is my card as “case-d” from the design Calypso created. For the background I used the congrats sentiment from “Cat’s Out of the Bag” which I brought into photo shop and adjusted both size and opacity. My focal image is “Laughing Giraffes” colored with Copic Markers and embellished. The balloons are from “Birdie and Balloon” also colored with Copics. After coloring my banner in the same Copics, I added a die cut the Die-Versions birthday die cut from glitter paper, which is also used on the My Favorite Things die frame.
Now head over to Kelly Schelske’s and see what she has created.
Thanks for hopping with us today. The hop will end on Monday March 7th at 6 am EST. Winners will be posted on the From the Heart Stamps Blog on Wednesday March 9th.
From The Heart Stamps – Mid-Week Inspiration
Happy Wednesday. Today I’m posting some Mid-Week Inspiration for From The Heart Stamps. This new “Dancing Snowman” image is FABULOUS. Could be because I love to dance to loud music when no on is watching, but either way, he’s a breeze to color up and is perfect for bringing joy.
I die cut a frame from the My Favorite Things circle frame die using American Crafts “Valentine” paper. I then popped up the frame using foam tape. For the snow, I added Stampendous “Shaved Ice” that was added with matte medium. For some sparkle, I added a technique Ruth, also on the FTHS design team uses and edged the card with stickles. I love that shine, Thanks Ruth! Finally, I added the perfect sentiment that comes with the image.
I look forward to seeing you over at From The Heart Stamps Community both on the blog and on Facebook.
From The Heart Stamps November Blog Hop!
Welcome to our From the Heart Stamps blog hop. This month we are bringing you two for the price of one! The theme is “Clean & Simple and Over The Top.” This means we are using the same image and making two cards. One card will be “CAS” and the other “Over The Top.”
Here is my Clean & Simple version using “Mistletoe Birdbrains” colored with Copic Markers and embellished with a bit of holiday ribbon. Can’t get much more Clean & Simple!
For my “over the top” version, I used the same “Mistletoe Birdbrains” image, which I colored with copics, but added falling snow using Lawn Fawn stamps in silver Hero Arts Pigment Ink. The DCWV glitter paper is cut with a Memory Box die and popped up over my image. For the snow, I added Stampendous “Shaved Ice” with Gel Medium and finished the card off with a string of light bulbs. I found this a super fun challenge because I don’t often break out the embellishments and go to town.
Now head over to Kelly Schelske’s and see what she has created.
Thanks for hopping with us today. The hop will end on Monday November 9th at 6 am EST. Winners will be posted on the From the Heart Stamps Blog on Wednesday November 11th.
