Happy Monday! That means it’s time for a new Cards in Envy Challenge and this week we are celebrating Black & White with a Smidge of Color cards! Please make sure your card fits into a standard A2 envelope.
The challenge will run through Sunday, March 30th and our design team will be choosing their favorite cards to feature on the The Cards in Envy blog.
For my card I started with Alte New’s “Adore You” stamp set which I stamped and copic colored with grey tones. My Smidge of color comes in the design paper by Glitz aptly called “Black & White”. I added a sentiment, also from the same stamp set and a few sequins.
I’m looking forward to seeing what you come up with this week for the Cards in Envy “Black & White with a Smidge of Color” Challenge!
Happy Monday! That means it’s time for a new Cards in Envy Challenge and this week we are celebrating White Wedding cards! Please make sure your card fits into a standard A2 envelope without any large lumps or bumps.
The challenge will run through Sunday, July 3rd and our design team will be choosing their favorite cards to feature on the The Cards in Envy blog.
For my card I started with Simon Says Stamps “Heart Parade” die which I cut out using Neenah Solar White card stock and adhered using “Stick it”. The sentiment is also from Simon Says Stamp called, “Congratulations“. I added wink of stella over a few of the hearts and then topped with Glossy Accents.
I’m looking forward to seeing what you come up with this week for the Cards in Envy “White Wedding” Challenge!

For my card this week, I stamped Repeat Impressions “Sentiments Flag 3701-M ” on Neenah Solar White card stock in Hero Arts “Red Royal” ink. To highlight the stars, I added small star gems – a girl has to have bling sometime, don’t you think?
The background is created using a Tim Holz Star Stencil and Distress Ink in Chipped Sapphire and Fired Brick.
I hope you will join us at The House That Stamps Built this week because you may be our next winner! Oh, and don’t forget to get your discount code from my blogs sidebar when you shop at Repeat Impressions Stamps.
This weeks Make it Monday was a technique using the “insides” of your cover plate dies. Laurie Wilson does a video that shows you how to get these lined up perfectly using…..of all things…..Glad Press n seal wrap. It WORKS!!! The first card is the is simply Neenah Solar White over some Club Scrap card stock. The Wood focal point is painted with Lindy’s Stamp Gang Magical Mica in Black Orchid. The second card uses Dylusions sprays over the Simon Says Stamp “Love My Alpha” Stencil. I hand drew the lines in the starburst using my copic 0.3 marker and the focal point A+ is also using Lindy’s Stamp Gang Magical’s in Bells of Ireland and backed with black paper.
Make it Monday Challenge: Use a Cover Plate
This is a cool technique I learned on Make it Monday for PaperTrey Ink. There is a video, but essentially, you emboss the sentiment, stamp multiple circle images on top of the embossed sentiment, then wipe away to reveal the sentiment. She calls for clear powder, which this is, however, next time I’d try white. My stamps are from Stamping Up and the sentiment from Paper Smooches.
