This is the final card from the elements that are left from the June Simon Says Stamp Kit. The base is transparent molding paste over a Dylusions stencil. The chevron die is the new Tim Holtz called “frameworks” cut from the kit card stock. The wood veneer leaf from the kit is gold embossed. The frame is a left over from an old SSS Kit and painted with crackle paint also from Tim Holtz. The sentiment stamped with Hero Arts Shadow Ink in soft vanilla using the flower circle stamp over the kit sentiment in Versafine. The card is finished with some washi tape and Tim Holtz element letters. Card is entered in the Sketchbook Saturday Challenge.
Love these cool shoes in the stamp from the Simon Says Stamp May Card Kit. I paper pieced them with paper from the kit. The band behind the shoes is molding paste over the star stencil and distressed with Vintage Photo Distress Ink.
Here is my 3rd card from the May Simon Says Stamp kit. I used the stencil with some embossing paste to create the star background, then distressed with Peeled Paint Distress Ink and splattered with water. Sentiment is stamped with Hero Arts Shadow ink in Navy and Field Greens.
Well, I’m still trying to get used to the conversion of moving from a PC to a Mac and can’t figure out IPhoto to save my soul. Here is Day 22 from Exploring Art Journaling 3 with Christine Urias of Scraptime.ca. using catalyst tools to form the flower. She recommended using gesso or heavy body acrylic paint, but I mixed a bit of modeling paste with gesso, making a firmer textured flower. Once it was dried, I finger painted acrylic paint over the flower then added Molotow Markers for doodling. The background uses Distress Stains applied against a watered background.
