Hello friends! Happy Monday! I’m here with sketch #149 at From The Heart Stamps. These are great challenges because you can use just the sketch, or if you’d like, add the twist. The only requirement is that you use a From The Heart image and the sketch. The rest is up to you. The twist for this challenge is to “Use A Die Cut”.
For my card I used the April Stamp of the Month called “Time to Bloom”. This is such a gorgeous new image and I love the brush sentiments! I colored the images with Copic Markers with the addition of white gel pen for highlights. The paper pack is Lily Bee ‘Head Over Heels” collection and the background text is a My Favorite Things stamp. For my dies, I used the stitched squares, also by My Favorite Things.
Hello friends! Happy Monday! I’m here with this weeks sketch challenge at From The Heart Stamps. This is our last challenge of the year as we are taking a break for the rest of the year. These are great challenges because you can use just the sketch, or if you’d like, add the twist. The only requirement is that you use a From The Heart image – the rest is up to you. The twist for this challenge is to distress edges.
This week I used only the sketch with “Winter Dog Walk” that I colored with Copic Markers. I die cut her with a My Favorite Things circle die and added a Clearly Besotted sentiment from Ornamental Style. The paper is Lily Bee Design “Jingle.”
You have have until Sunday, January 3rd to enter this challenge at From The Heart Stamps. Can’t wait to see you there!!
It’s Friday and today at A Day For Daisies we are showcasing the Veggie Lover collection! Summer is a great time for fresh veggies and I know I sure have been enjoying them. I’d also like to remind you we are still running the Sequins Challenge that ends on August 27th at Noon so come on by and enter while you can.
To highlight this collection, I made a card using “Carrots.” The carrots were colored with Copics in YR15, YR18, YR68 and Y09. The stems were Y17 and Y67.
The paper pad is from Lily Bee Design’s “Handmade” collection. The tag stamp and die is Lawn Fawn, the sentiment is Paper Trey Ink and the label die is My Favorite Things.
Happy Friday – The Crafty Nurse here with a card using Sugar Sketch #27 with a Tiddly Ink digital image called, “My Super Boy.” The paper is Simple Stories “DIY Boutique” with dies from Lawn Fawn (journaling card), My Favorite Things (circles), and Paper Trey Ink (Stars). I finished off with stickers from Lily B.

Kathy Stacy – Me!
I’ve used the April Release, “Nesting Bird – #MC001” and “Be Silly – #SDX001″ for my first card. I colored the image with Copic Markers and used the “Head over Heels” 6 x 6 paper pack by Lily Bee Design. The base, flag and circle dies are from My Favorite Things.
My second card features “Lovers Silhouette -#SD636”. I heat embossed clear powder over black Versafine ink. I then chose four different Lindy’s Stamp Gang Magical Mica colors and watercolored them in an ombre pattern. I die cut Ellen Hutson’s Brushstroke Love Die and inlayed it into the embossed image. The frame is a My Favorite Things Die and the paper pack is Fancy Pants “Love” collection.
My third April release card features some super cool flowers called, “Darling Blossoms – #S615.” I used Gelatos in a direct to paper method, then added highlights with Pitt Brush Pens in corresponding colors and white. The sentiment is from the versatile sentiment set called, “Things I Want To Do #S546.” I then finished it off with a spritz of homemade pearlized spray.
I sure hope you enjoy the hop and get a chance to stop by the new Technique Junkies website to check out all the fun new stamps. As a special treat all Technique Junkies stamps will be 15% off from April 1-8. Happy Hopping!
It’s Monday and time for another Cards In Envy Challenge. As we near Valentines Day, this challenge will be perfect as it’s “Hearts a Flutter”, which calls for at least 2 hearts on your card. The rules are simple for this challenge and simply require that your card fit into a A2 standard envelope.
For some inspiration I chose A Day For Daisies image called, “Cute Fairy Waiting”. Her sweet headband is made from hearts. I colored her with copics and used a Lifestyle Crafts square scallop die. The paper pack is an older one from Lily Bee called, “Head over Heels” and the small tag dies are My Favorite Things tied with waxy thread from Close To My Heart. I finished off with some gems and fluttered away! Come join us!
Happy New Year! It’s the first Saturday of 2015 and time for a Send a Smile 4 Kids Card Challenge! We have continued our tradition of having great sponsors who have generously offered prizes to our randomly chosen winners. They are:

2) Doodle Pantry: Offering a prize of $10.00 Gift Certificate to Random Winner
3) Stitchy Bear Digital Outlet: Offering a prize of $6.00 Gift Certificate to Random Winner
Now, how about some inspiration!
My first card uses DRS Designs “Allie & Callie“. I colored them with Copic Markers and used Glitz’s “Felicity” 6 x 6 paper pack. Sentiment is Paper Smooches as is the “love” die.
My second card uses a digital image from Doodle Pantry called, “Heart Candy Ants”. I brought the image into Photoshop Elements and inserted the sentiment into the heart. This image is full of great sentiments for Love and Valentines cards and is perfect for this challenge. I used Copic Markers and Lily Bee’s “Head Over Heels” 6 x 6 collection then finished it off with some pearls and chipboard arrows painted with white.
The last card today uses Stitchy Bear Digital Designs “BBKakes, Balloon Boy I” which I colored with Copic’s and used recollections ticket embellishments and a die cut heart spray painted with some cool new Liquitex spray paints from Blick Arts. So cool and great coverage. Perfect for all types of paper crafting projects.
Shopping Our Stash: Thrice as Nice (3 balloons)
Happy Saturday! I’ve finished the majority of my Christmas cards and now able to get back to some generalized crafting. Today I am using Operation Write Home’s Sketch 244 for the December Our Daily Bread challenge that calls for primary colors. Love cards are always needed at OWH so I used some Lilly Bee design paper and a Paper Smooches sentiment to make this card. The wood elements are Studio Calico and painted with Lindy’s Stamp Gang Flat Magical’s (non-shimmer). Each entry in the ODB challenge will help with shipping costs so please join us in this challenge.
I saw this sketch and immediately thought about using the Bigz Poinsettia die and matching embossing folder as a focal piece. I cut it out using grunge paper, then applied rock candy crackle paint. Once that dried I applied Fired Brick and Vintage photo Distress Stains. After heat setting that I then applied the same colors but in the mini ink pads. Then, I applied a small amount of Fired Brick distress paint. The center is some Hero Arts gems applied with glossy accents and glittered. The paper is Lily Bee “Jingle” 6 x 6 pad. I cut out the circles with My Favorite Things and the string is Close To My Heart wax thread in Cranberry. I love how this came out. What do you think?
