I’m here today with a little Mid-Week DT Inspiration for From The Heart Stamps! My card today is colored with Copic Markers using the “Surprised Birdbrain.” I hope you’ll stop by this week to check out both the Sketch Challenge and the Stamp of the Month Challenge at the From The Heart Stamps Blog.
Hello friends! Happy Monday! I’m here with this weeks sketch challenge at From The Heart Stamps. These are great challenges because you can use just the sketch, or if you’d like, add the twist. The only requirement is that you use a From The Heart image and the sketch – the rest is up to you. The twist for this challenge is to keep it Clean & Simple using Paper Strips.
This week I used both the sketch and the twist choosing another fun image from Mekaela’s fundraiser, which is now unavailable, however, keep a look out because Faith may put this adorable image in the store.
I love the pout on this kitty. I colored him using Copic Markers and used Amy Tangerine’s “Rise & Shine” 6 x 6 paper pack. My square die is from Lifestyle Crafts and my card base stitched die is WPlus9. I also added “faux” stitching around my image for even more highlight on this CAS card.
It’s Friday and time for a new release at A Day For Daisies! In addition, we are still running the “Photo Inspiration” challenge so I sure hope you’ll pop by the ADFD Blog by October 8th at noon to enter your card for a chance to win some free images!
For my Design Team inspiration, I chose “Little Witches Wing” to color for you today. I used Copic Markers in my favorite purple combination of V09, V06, V05 and V01. I also used the cool grays for shades of black and YR04, YR07, YR09 for my oranges. The background is a combination of Y38, Y15 and Y04 mixed with 91% alcohol in a water brush.
I cut my image with a Lifestyle Crafts scallop die and distressed the edges with Antique Linen distress ink. My bat is from a Paper Smooches die, my sentiment from My Favorite Things, and the paper is a My Minds Eye paper pack called, “Enchanted.”
It’s the fourth Wednesday of the Month and time for The House That Stamps Built sketch challenge. You have until Tuesday, April 28th to enter for a chance to win a $25.00 gift certificate at Repeat Impressions.
Here’s the Sketch:
For my card today I broke out my favorite Kuretake watercolors. I started by stamping the Repeat Impressions Shade of the Elm 2908-I with archival ink to ensure it didn’t bleed. The paper pack is My Minds Eye “Remarkable” collection. The square die is from Lifestyle Crafts. I finished the card with the Repeat Impressions Sentiment, “A Happy Hello 9717-C”.

Happy Valentine’s Day to all. Hope you are spending time with those you love. Today at Open-Minded Crafting we begin our “Up In The Air” challenge, which runs through Friday, February 27th. There are lots of prizes offered by our generous sponsors so I hope you’ll join us. Our design team will also choose their favorite so your card may be featured at Open-Minded Crafting Challenges.
Here’s our sponsors this week and the prizes they are offering:
Let’s get on to some inspiration! I chose an image from A Day For Daisies, which I colored with Copics and used an older paper collection called “Love” by Fancy Pants. The circle and heart dies are My Favorite Things and the scallop die is Lifestyle Crafts. I created the clouds using Pan Pastels.
Can’t wait to see what is up in the air for you!
It’s Monday and time for another Cards In Envy Challenge. As we near Valentines Day, this challenge will be perfect as it’s “Hearts a Flutter”, which calls for at least 2 hearts on your card. The rules are simple for this challenge and simply require that your card fit into a A2 standard envelope.
For some inspiration I chose A Day For Daisies image called, “Cute Fairy Waiting”. Her sweet headband is made from hearts. I colored her with copics and used a Lifestyle Crafts square scallop die. The paper pack is an older one from Lily Bee called, “Head over Heels” and the small tag dies are My Favorite Things tied with waxy thread from Close To My Heart. I finished off with some gems and fluttered away! Come join us!
It’s Saturday morning and that means it’s time for a new Sketch Saturday challenge. This week we are being sponsored by the talented Sami Stamps who is offering a generous $12.00 gift certificate to the random winner of the challenge.
Here’s the Sketch:
How about a little inspiration? This adorable image from Sami is called, “Sweet Girl”. I colored her with Copic Markers and used an impression obsession background stamp in versamark. The stars, circle, and label dies are all My Favorite Things and the scallop die is Lifestyle Crafts. The sentiment is WPlus 9 “Hand Lettered Hello”. I finished her off with a few sequins and called her a sketch!
Won’t you join us this week?
Here is the 2nd challenge for the Operation Write Home Virtual Card Making Party. This card calls for a Thank You sentiment. I chose to incorporate this Fusion sketch and July Simon Says Stamp Card Kit. In addition, I used Hero Arts “Type” stamp set as well as “Dude” from Simon Says Stamp. Background is Impression Obsessions “scratch” stamp. Inks are Hero Arts in Soft Brown, Granite, and Red Royal. Dies are My Favorite Things and Lifestyle Crafts.
Card 3 from Simon Says Stamp July Card Kit is based off Retro Sketch 120. I splattered the Blueberry Sour card stock w/Memories Mist in White and prepared the numbered card stock with Balzer’s Designs “Number Bits” and inked with Spun Sugar and Worn Lipstick Distress Ink. I colored the new Mama Elephant and Operation Write Home stamp set “In My Heart” with copics (don’t forget to pick yours up for a 20% OWH donation if purchased on Mama Elephant site). Sentiment is from My Favorite Things “Soldier Boy” and circle die is Lifestyle Crafts.
