Today’s new Sketch Saturday challenge is sponsored by A Day For Daisies who is offering a very generous $12.00 gift certificate to her store for our random winner. Thanks Tammy!  You have until Friday, December 11th for a chance to win.

Here’s the sketch:

390

For my card I chose a great image from A Day For Daisies called, “Candy Elf A.”  I colored the image with Copic Markers  and used my all time favorite Christmas paper from Basic Grey “Aspen Frost.”

I cut out the ovals and flag dies with My Favorite Things and popped up the image for more dimension.  My sentiment is from Lawn Fawn.

From The Heart Stamps November Blog Hop!

Welcome to our From the Heart Stamps blog hop. This month we are bringing you two for the price of one!  The theme is “Clean & Simple and Over The Top.”  This means we are using the same image and making two cards.  One card will be “CAS” and the other “Over The Top.”

FtHS-blog-hop-oct Meet the DT

As you hop along, please leave a comment on each blog. One random commenter will be selected on each blog to win an image of choice from the FTHS store.

If you have arrived from Kathy Curry’s website, you are in the right place, if not why don’t you start on the From the Heart Stamps blog, so you don’t miss anything.

Here is my Clean & Simple version using “Mistletoe Birdbrains” colored with Copic Markers and embellished with a bit of holiday ribbon.  Can’t get much more Clean & Simple!

Clean & SimpleMisletoe C&S-wm

For my “over the top” version, I used the same “Mistletoe Birdbrains” image, which I colored with copics, but added falling snow using Lawn Fawn stamps in silver Hero Arts Pigment Ink.  The DCWV glitter paper is cut with a Memory Box die and popped up over my image.  For the snow, I added Stampendous “Shaved Ice” with Gel Medium and finished the card off with a string of light bulbs.  I found this a super fun challenge because I don’t often break out the embellishments and go to town.

Now head over to Kelly Schelske’s and see what she has created.

Thanks for hopping with us today. The hop will end on Monday November 9th at 6 am EST. Winners will be posted on the From the Heart Stamps Blog on Wednesday November 11th.

From The Heart Stamps Sketch #125 – Monochromatic Twist

Hello friends!  Happy Monday!  I’m here with this weeks sketch challenge at From The Heart Stamps.  These are great challenges because you can use just the sketch, or if you’d like, add the twist. The only requirement is that you use a From The Heart image.  The rest is up to you. The twist for this challenge is to make your card “monochromatic.Sketch125I used only the sketch this week.  My image is called “Toboggan Ride” which I colored with Copic’s.  The paper used is “Bundled Up” from Carta Bella.”   To give movement, I stamped lawn fawn snow flakes with Simon Says Stamp white pigment ink and dotted with stickles.

For my card I chose Sami’s sweet digi called, “Pumpkin Smile” and colored him with Copic Markers.  The design paper is from Carta Bella’s “Fall Blessings” collection.  The circle, flag, tree and faux stitching dies are from My Favorite Things.  The background base die is Simon Says Stamp. I added additional pumpkin goodness using the Lawn Fawn So Thankful mini set and the leaves from Lawn Fawn’s Sweater Weather set.

From The Heart Stamps – Mid-Week Inspiration

This week has been a rough one for me between having my tooth pulled, then a week later having a root canal in the tooth next to that one.  I had pain like you wouldn’t believe, therefore, I hope you’ll forgive me that I completely forgot to post my Wednesday Mid-Week DT Inspiration for From The Heart Stamps!

My card today is colored with Copic Markers.  I stamped the background in hero arts silver pigment ink using a Lawn Fawn snowflake.  The pattern paper is also Lawn Fawn.  I finished the cap with Liquid Applique, which looks like snow when heated.

From The Heart Stamps Sketch #123 – Use Stitching

Hello friends!  Happy Monday!  I’m here with this weeks sketch challenge at From The Heart Stamps.  These are great challenges because you can use just the sketch, or if you’d like, add the twist. The only requirement is that you use a From The Heart image and the sketch.  The rest is up to you. The twist for this challenge is to add some stitching.  It can be real, faux, or die cut stitches.Sketch123I used both the sketch and the twist this week.  To create the stitching, I used My Favorite Things and Simon Says Stamp “stitched” dies.  My image is an all time favorite of mine called, “Happy Harvest.”  It’s such a spectacular fall image to have in your stash.

The paper used is “A Perfect Autumn from Carta Bella.”   The leaves are stamps and dies from Lawn Fawn and the sentiment is from “Pumpkin Pigwit.”  Finally, the rectangle dies are Spellbinders.

For my card today, I used  Milk Coffee’s digital image called, “Halloween Tiffany as Sexy Cat Girl.”  I colored this feisty kitty with Copic Markers and used DCWV “Spooky Time Stack for papers.  For my doily, I sprayed it with Lindy’s Stamp Gang Spray in “Open Arms Amethyst” and stamped the “meow” with Lawn Fawn’s Milo alphabet.

A Day For Daisies: Veggie Lover Showcase 8-21-15

It’s Friday and today at A Day For Daisies we are showcasing the Veggie Lover collection!  Summer is a great time for fresh veggies and I know I sure have been enjoying them.  I’d also like to remind you we are still running the Sequins Challenge that ends on August 27th at Noon so come on by and enter while you can.

To highlight this collection, I made a card using “Carrots.”  The carrots were colored with Copics in YR15, YR18, YR68 and Y09.  The stems were Y17 and Y67.

The paper pad is from Lily Bee Design’s “Handmade” collection. The tag stamp and die is Lawn Fawn, the sentiment is Paper Trey Ink and the label die is My Favorite Things.

We look forward to seeing you at both A Day For Daisies Blog and Facebook Community Page!

Brown Sugar Challenge #157 Animals!

Happy Friday!  It’s time for a new challenge at Brown Sugar Challenges and today, we are featuring “Animals”.  This challenge is sponsored Robyn’s Fetish Digital Images who is offering a gift of 3 Digital Images for our winner.

For my card today, I’ve used Robyn’s Fetish image called, “Farah Fawn” to showcase my “Animal” card.  I colored Farah with Copic Markers and framed her using a My Favorite Things die with burlap paper by DCWV.   I gave her a sentiment from Lawn Fawn’s “Chit Chat” set as well as a birdy friend from that same set.  My paper is Lawn Fawn’s “Into the Woods.”

Since I am no longer sending my cards to Operation Write Home I broke out my Wink of Stella glitter pen and gave birdy a bit of shine.
