Here is a list of the Design Team lineup:
Kathy Stacy – Me!
I’ve used the April Release, “Nesting Bird – #MC001” and “Be Silly – #SDX001″ for my first card. I colored the image with Copic Markers and used the “Head over Heels” 6 x 6 paper pack by Lily Bee Design. The base, flag and circle dies are from My Favorite Things.
My second card features “Lovers Silhouette -#SD636”. I heat embossed clear powder over black Versafine ink. I then chose four different Lindy’s Stamp Gang Magical Mica colors and watercolored them in an ombre pattern. I die cut Ellen Hutson’s Brushstroke Love Die and inlayed it into the embossed image. The frame is a My Favorite Things Die and the paper pack is Fancy Pants “Love” collection.
My third April release card features some super cool flowers called, “Darling Blossoms – #S615.” I used Gelatos in a direct to paper method, then added highlights with Pitt Brush Pens in corresponding colors and white. The sentiment is from the versatile sentiment set called, “Things I Want To Do #S546.” I then finished it off with a spritz of homemade pearlized spray.
I sure hope you enjoy the hop and get a chance to stop by the new Technique Junkies website to check out all the fun new stamps. As a special treat all Technique Junkies stamps will be 15% off from April 1-8. Happy Hopping!
Hello Friends. Ellen Hutson’s classroom has started hosting monthly challenges. This week it’s a photo challenge based on the following pinterest photo.
For my card I used the stripe pattern from My Minds Eye “Everyday Basics” collection. The foil heart and the rectangles are cut form My Favorite Things dies. The “love” sentiment is Julie Ebersole’s “Brushstroke” die. The rest of the sentiment is WPlus 9 “Thank You” set.
I absolutely love, love, love, my Lindy’s Stamp gang goodies. For this November Color Challenge, I used a combination of Sprays and Magicals. I really appreciate the fact that you can buy the magicals and create your own sprays by just adding water. You can also create unique combinations by mixing different colors. For this card is used most of the required colors for the challenge with the exception of changing out Brushed Nickel with Gregarious Grey, which actually worked well because it has a violet base. The other colors used were: A Bit of Bubbly, Tainted Love Teal, Red Hot Poker Orange, and Sweet Violet Purple Teal. I mixed my own Violet Purple Teal so it may be lighter than the normal batch.
Here is the color Pallet:
Here is my card, which uses the Sizzix & Tim Holtz Bigz Jumping Deer die, Memory Box star Die, and sentiment from the new release from Julie Ebersole, which I purchased through Ellen Hutson. The deer is grunge paper, painted with rock candy crackle paint then sprayed with the Red Hot Poker Orange and then darkened with distress inks in Vintage Photo, Gathered Twigs, and Spiced Marmalade. I also covered it with clear embossing powder and heat set.
Hope you like it!
