Technique Junkies November Blog Hop! GIVE AWAY
Is it November already? Unbelievable! It’s almost time for the Technique Junkies 30 Days of Christmas beginning on November 15th over at the Technique Junkie Design Team’s site. That means every day from November 15th through December 15th prepare to be inspired with wonderful cards for the holidays.
For today though, the Technique Junkies Design Team is showing off the new releases for November.
I had the opportunity to once again meet with Pat at the Hampton Roads stamp show this past month and was able to pick up some fun new products including Art Anthology Products and Nuvo Crystal Drops. I have to admit I am IN LOVE with these products and was happy to add more to my collection.
As usual, Pat has come up with some great new stamps for this release and I know you are going to love them. Pat is offering 15% off all November Release Stamps for one week! WooHoo!
I’d also like to welcome two new DT members to the TJ Team. Ro Donner and Cheri Weston. Welcome ladies!! I’d love for you to stop by all the design team’s blogs for great ideas and samples of other new November Release stamps.
Whew! If you’ve made it this far I’m offering a give away for a random commenter of the Coffee with Friends SD734 stamp. Leave me a comment and I will pick a winner on Sunday, November 6th.
Now, for some inspiration.
My first project features two of the new release stamps. The first is Glowing Branches #S717 and the focal image is Survive Together #SD752. I used Distress & Archival inks along with Art Anthology “Lava Stone Effects” which gives fabulous texture!
My second card again uses the “Survive Together” stamp this time using trapped resist technique. I created a base layer with alcohol inks then stamped my image with Versamark and embossed with clear. I then distressed over the top and coated it with Art Anthology “Dazzle Medium” . The background is more distress inks which reminds me a little of a cloudy day.
My next project uses the background stamp called “Layered Swirls S719”. I wanted to remind everyone that you don’t have to use the entire stamp to make a beautiful project. I began by creating a alcohol inked background on Yupo paper stamped and gold heat embossed the Layered Swirl stamp, then cut out with a leaf die. The sentiment is another new release called “Trust Your Journey SDX081”
I’ll leave you with one final card and the inspiration for the GIVEAWAY. This stamp is so sweet and perfect for a friend. Please leave me a comment below for a chance to win this stamp. The base of the card is stenciled using “Kona” Art Anthology Paint then sprayed with Distress Inks. The focal image, “Coffee With Friends SD734″ is stamped on another alcohol ink background. I sprayed the whole think with Distress Mica Spray and it’s really sparkly in real life.
Now, that I’ve shown you what I have to offer, I don’t want you to miss any of the other design teams creativity so I encourage you to start hopping at the Technique Junkies Design Team Blog.
If you are arriving from Karen McAlpine’s Blog, you in the right place! Gorgeous project Karen!
The next stop is over at Ro Donner’s Blog. Ro is one of our newest DT members along with Cheri Weston. Welcome to your 1st TJ Blog hop ladies – please leave them lots of love.

The House That Stamps Built: Photo Inspiration
It’s the third Wednesday of the Month and time for The House That Stamps Built photo inspiration challenge. With February being the month of love, we’ve continued that theme. You have until Tuesday, February 24th to enter for a chance to win a $25.00 gift certificate at Repeat Impressions.
Here’s the inspiration chosen by our Rock Stars:
For my card I’ve used the Repeat Impressions sentiment called, “Be Mine 1201-I“. You’ll notice I inked it up separately which changes the look of the stamp. Don’t be afraid to use your stamps however you like. I’ve also used a heart die from Impression Obsession and papers from Club Scrap’s Fizz Collection. I finished the card off with some black splatters of India Ink.
Come join us at The House That Stamps Built, you may be our next winner! Oh, and don’t forget to get your discount code from my blogs sidebar when you shop at Repeat Impressions Stamps.
Try Stampin’ on Tuesday: Sketch Challenge #206
It’s Tuesday and that means it’s time for a new sketch. Today Barb created a hand drawn sketch, which I love. You have until Monday, February 23rd to enter and the design team will be choosing their favorites which will be featured on the Try Stampin’ on Tuesday blog.
For my inspiration I’ve used the February Simon Says Stamp card kit. The heart die is Impression Obsession found on Simon Says Stamp which was inlayed into the die using the paper from the kit. The other hearts on the card are chipboard colored with pan pastels. The background panels are My Favorite Things rectangle die.
Hope you like this sketch too and join us this week at Try Stampin’ on Tuesday.
Simon Says Stamp February Card Kit using Sugar Sketch 19
Hello all and happy Friday! With all the weather we have been having the mail has been delayed and I just got my February Simon Says Stamp kit in the mail yesterday. Here is my first card using the kit and I can tell this is going to be one of my favorites. I love the color and the extras in this months kit. I used the Sugar Sketch 19 as a basis to make the card. The die is from Impression Obsession that I paper pieced with the kit papers. The hearts are from the rub-ons and the bar across the card is from the paint chip paper.

Ellen Hutson’s 12 Tags with a Feminine Twist
For those of you who don’t know about Ellen Hutson’s Classroom, you are missing a great blog where so much creativity is offered and taught. Each year Ellen hosts her own version of 12 Tags and asks they have a feminine twist. I was inspired by Kittie Caracciolo on Day 3. There was something about the window that caught my eye. Initially when I created my card I left the window open with no backing, but I didn’t like the look so I created some “wallpaper” from Basic Grey’s “Aspen” collection to frame my pink window which I sprayed with Lindy’s Stamp Gang spray. The deer is from Ellen’s Essentials and the trees are from Impression Obsessions. The date is a wood element from KaiserCraft I kindly received as a freebie from Simon Says Stamp in my last order that I sprayed with Tarnished Bronze Distress Spray. The snowflakes are embossed with white using the My Favorite Things “Christmas Ornaments”. The red ribbon is another Freebie, but from Ellen Hutson’s store. I just love the personalized cards she sends with each order. Thanks Ellen! The small Poinsettia die is Memory Box and the gold ribbon under the window is from Darice called Sparkle Tape in Yellow Amarillo. Thanks for stopping by and checking out my feminine tag!

Simon Says Stamp November Card Kit; Card 2
Here is my second card using the Simon Says Stamp November kit with the addition of a woodland friend from Lawn Fawn’s “Snow Day”. I also used the Birch Die from Impression Obsessions and the cloud die from My Favorite Things. The trees are stamped with Hero Arts Shadow Ink in Field Green and Archival Ink in Library Green. The hills were created with the Simon Says Stamp hills die and the trunks are stamped with SSS Lipstick Red using the candy cane stamp from the kit. Hope you enjoy!

Try Stampin’ on Tuesday Sketch Challenge #86; Fall Trees & Leaves
It’s Tuesday and that means it’s time for Try Stampin’ on Tuesday Sketch Challenge! Today is a favorite theme of mine, fall! For this challenge you can choose to use the sketch only, or you can add the challenge theme, fall trees and leaves. For my design team inspiration I’ve chosen to do both – hope you like it.
The paper is from Authentique’s “Thankful” 6 x 6 collection. The leaves are an Impression Obsession leaves die stamped with the Hero Arts “Fall Memories” stamp. The square and circles are My Favorite Things stitched dies and the sentiment is also My Favorite Things.
The challenge is open until September 29, 2014, so I hope you will stop by and enter a card at Try Stampin’ on Tuesday Sketch Challenge!
