Happy Monday! It’s time for another Cards in Envy challenge. This week our theme is “Typography.” These are cards using letters, words, or sentiments as your focal image.
As a reminder, Cards in Envy asks that your card fit into a standard A2 envelope for ease of mailing, but that doesn’t mean they have to be one layer or clean and simple.
For today’s card, I used Ellen Hutson’s “Holly Jolly” stamp set for my “typography” element. The design paper is Fancy Pants “Wish Season” by Kim Watson. I stamped the snow bursts in Simon Say Stamp white pigment ink and topped them with Nuvo Crystal Drops. My flag dies are My Favorite Things and I finished off the card with some black Distress Ink.
Hope we’ll see your “Typography” cards over at the Cards in Envy challenge. You have until November 19th to enter.
It’s the fourth Wednesday of the Month and time for The House That Stamps Built sketch challenge. You have until Tuesday, May 31st to enter for a chance to win a $25.00 gift certificate at Repeat Impressions.
Here’s the Sketch:
For my card I’ve created a flower using the Repeat Impressions Star Silhouette (lg) 5111-H and Star Silhouette (sm) 5140-C to create this photo themed card using this weeks sketch. I stamped the stars on pattern paper by Fancy Pants called “Memories Captured” using Versafine Black Onyx Ink, then heat embossed with clear powder.
Hope you’ll join us at The House That Stamps Built, you may be our next winner! Hope you’ve also had a chance to stop by and check out the new Flower Power release and don’t forget to get your discount code from my blogs sidebar when you shop at Repeat Impressions Stamps.
Happy Wednesday. Today I’m posting some Mid-Week Inspiration for From The Heart Stamps.
My card today is “Birdbrain Snowman” colored with Copic Markers. I stamped the background snowflakes by Clearly Besotted in Versamark. The pattern paper is Fancy Pants. I finished off with glitter pen.
Hello friends! Happy Monday! I’m here with this weeks sketch challenge at From The Heart Stamps. These are great challenges because you can use just the sketch, or if you’d like, add the twist. The only requirement is that you use a From The Heart image – the rest is up to you. The twist for this challenge is to add snow.
I used only the sketch for my inspiration today with the “Holly Jolly Birdbrain.” I colored him with my copic markers and used the Fancy Pants “Wish Season” paper pad. The fishtail flag is by My Favorite Things.
You have until Sunday, December 20th to enter the challenge at From The Heart Stamps. Can’t wait to see you there!
Happy 4th of July to those in America! It’s a perfect day to celebrate with a new Sketch Saturday challenge. We are sponsored by Bugaboo who is offering the randomly chosen winner 7 images from their site! How generous! You have until Friday, July 10th for a chance to win.
Here’s the sketch:
For my card I chose Sping Elephant 2″, which I colored with Copic Markers and used the Fancy Pants “Memories Captured” 6×6 paper pack. I fussy cut the clouds and popped them up with foam tape. I loved the geometric lines on this card design and backed all the paper with black card stock to help it pop.
I can’t wait to see what you come up with using the new Sketch Saturday Sketch!

Kathy Stacy – Me!
I’ve used the April Release, “Nesting Bird – #MC001” and “Be Silly – #SDX001″ for my first card. I colored the image with Copic Markers and used the “Head over Heels” 6 x 6 paper pack by Lily Bee Design. The base, flag and circle dies are from My Favorite Things.
My second card features “Lovers Silhouette -#SD636”. I heat embossed clear powder over black Versafine ink. I then chose four different Lindy’s Stamp Gang Magical Mica colors and watercolored them in an ombre pattern. I die cut Ellen Hutson’s Brushstroke Love Die and inlayed it into the embossed image. The frame is a My Favorite Things Die and the paper pack is Fancy Pants “Love” collection.
My third April release card features some super cool flowers called, “Darling Blossoms – #S615.” I used Gelatos in a direct to paper method, then added highlights with Pitt Brush Pens in corresponding colors and white. The sentiment is from the versatile sentiment set called, “Things I Want To Do #S546.” I then finished it off with a spritz of homemade pearlized spray.
I sure hope you enjoy the hop and get a chance to stop by the new Technique Junkies website to check out all the fun new stamps. As a special treat all Technique Junkies stamps will be 15% off from April 1-8. Happy Hopping!

Let’s get on to some inspiration! I chose an image from A Day For Daisies, which I colored with Copics and used an older paper collection called “Love” by Fancy Pants. The circle and heart dies are My Favorite Things and the scallop die is Lifestyle Crafts. I created the clouds using Pan Pastels.
Can’t wait to see what is up in the air for you!
Oh My! As Try Stampin’ on Tuesday enters the new year with a challenge, we are celebrating our 200th! We’d love for this challenge to be super special so I really hope you will join us in celebrating and enter an anything goes card this week. As usual, all you have to do is start out with a sketch and add your own special touches.
Here’s our sketch this week:
For my inspiration this week, I’ve chosen a love card using My Favorite Things Pure Innocence “Love is in the Air” clear stamp. I paper pieced her dress using Fancy Pants “Love Story” collection then colored the remainder with Copic Markers. The red hearts are stamped using Simon Says Stamp “Red Lipstick” ink and the bow is ribbon from Club Scrap.
I can’t wait to see what you enter this week!
It’s Tuesday and that means another Try Stampin’ on Tuesday Sketch challenge. Now that summer is coming to a close, we are starting back up with themes in addition to the sketch. As always, you do not need to use the theme to participate, just the sketch. This weeks theme is…..Back to school! So break out the school supplies and get stampin’ with us!
In addition to the sketch below, my inspiration card uses a digital image from Tiddly Inks, called “Teacher’s Helper”. Image was colored with Copic’s and designed with paper from Fancy Pants called, “Memories Captured”. The label on the side is from My Favorite Things and the sentiment from Simon Says Stamp “Tilted Banner Sayings”.
The design team will be choosing the top 3 cards for highlighting on the blog so go get an A+!
