It’s Monday and time for another Cards In Envy Challenge. As we approach Mother’s Day, our challenge will center around “Motherly Love”. This is a very open invitation to be creative. The rules are simple for this challenge and require only that your card fit into a A2 standard envelope.
Today, my card was inspired by Therese Calvird who designs for AlteNew. My card uses the “Oriental Orchid” by AlteNew as well as AlteNew Inks. The design paper is My Favorite things and the sentiment is Clearly Besotted “Best Mom”.
We look forward to your cards over at the Cards in Envy blog. Happy card making!!
It’s Friday and time for another installment of A Day For Daisies Kit Club Release! In addition, we are still running the “Paint It Up” challenge so I sure hope you’ll pop by the ADFD Blog by Thursday, May 19th at noon to enter your card for a chance to win some free images!
For my card today I chose “Little Dancer Daisy” to “paint it up” for you today. I used FW Pearlescent Acrylic Paints as my medium today for the great shimmer they leave. I began with a Tim Holtz embossing folder and some molding paste. Once dried, I applied the pearlescent paints randomly over the background. My image is also colored in the same colors then fussy cut. My sentiment is Clearly Besotted.
Hello friends! Happy Monday! I’m here with this weeks sketch challenge at From The Heart Stamps. This is our last challenge of the year as we are taking a break for the rest of the year. These are great challenges because you can use just the sketch, or if you’d like, add the twist. The only requirement is that you use a From The Heart image – the rest is up to you. The twist for this challenge is to distress edges.
This week I used only the sketch with “Winter Dog Walk” that I colored with Copic Markers. I die cut her with a My Favorite Things circle die and added a Clearly Besotted sentiment from Ornamental Style. The paper is Lily Bee Design “Jingle.”
You have have until Sunday, January 3rd to enter this challenge at From The Heart Stamps. Can’t wait to see you there!!
Hello friends! Happy Monday! I’m here with this weeks sketch challenge at From The Heart Stamps. These are great challenges because you can use just the sketch, or if you’d like, add the twist. The only requirement is that you use a From The Heart image – the rest is up to you. The twist for this challenge is to add a Gift Card Holder. Perfect idea for the holidays!
I used both the sketch and the twist this week for my card. I began using this sweet winter image called “Skating Birdbrain” which I colored with Copic Markers in the combination of E35, YR15, Y15 and Y11. My scarf uses B39, B34 and B32. I then cut out the large flag using a My Favorite Things die and popped it up to create the gift tag portion of my card by leaving the top open.
I stamped some Lawn Fawn snowflakes stamped in Simon Says Stamp Fog ink, added a clearly besotted sentiment, and finished with waxy thread in buttercup from Close to My Heart.
You have until Sunday, December 13th to enter Sketch #130 at From The Heart Stamps. Hope to see you there!
Hey friends, it’s Saturday and time for another Send a Smile 4 Kids challenge. This is such a great cause that supports hospitalized children by providing them cheerful cards in times of need. What’s even better news is they are growing and need your support! If you are wondering where to send all those cards that you make, please consider donating. Here’s a link how.
For our challenge we are highlighting “Winter Fun for Kids”. Our challenges are supported by great sponsors and this week we have:
Lacy Sunshine: 3 images of winners choice
Dollar Graphic Depot: $15.00 Gift Certificate to Store
One Happy Cut: $15.00 Gift Certificate to Store
Let’s get to some inspiration. My first card features Lacy Sunshine’s “Melanie Boo Christmas Caroling” colored with copic markers. I created a stencil using multiple snowflake dies and sprayed the background with Lindy’s Stamp Gang sprays. I also added Art Anthology Gilded Gold Colorations spray to add sparkle, then ran the panel through an embossing folder to add more interest. The tag is a mini set by Clearly Besotted.
My second card features Dollar Graphic’s Studio “Freezin’ Season” also colored with Copic Markers. I made the background the same as the above card and used Clearly Besotted snowflakes and sentiment to complete the card.
I hope you’ve enjoyed my inspiration and would love to see you over at Send a Smile 4 Kids!
Happy Saturday my Friends. Here at Send a Smile 4 Kids (SAS4Kids) we are celebrating some early Holiday Wishes. SAS4Kids is committed to supporting hospitalized children by providing home-made cards that parents, staff, or even the kids themselves can give during this time of need. It’s not a sad cause, in fact, we don’t focus on Get Well cards at all, but make the cards happy and fun. I sure hope you will join both in our challenge and by sending in some cards, especially during this holiday season. To find out more about donation, look here.
This challenge will run through October 16th and give you a great head start on some holiday card making. This challenge is sponsored by some very generous donors who are giving away some great gifts for the winning entry. The design team also chooses their favorite so there are lots of ways to win.
The donors and prizes are:
1) DeeDee Digi: Prize: $15.00 Gift Certificate
2) Bugaboo: Prize: 7 Digital Images of Winners Choice
3) One Happy Cut: Prize $15 Dollar Gift Certificate
Wow – thank you sponsors, Send a Smile 4 Kids really appreciates your support.
My first card features “DeeDee Digi’s Merry & Bright.” This is an adorable penguin pair comes both in line images and pre-colored. There is also some great sentiments in this set and was super fun to color with my Copic Markers. The snow globe is a die from My Favorite Things, the paper pack is “Bundled Up” by Carta Bella, my sentiment is Clearly Besotted, and I cut out glittered snowflakes using the Lawn Fawn snowflake die.
My second card is from Bugaboo “Make it Snappy – Merry Christmoose,” I also colored this with Copic Markers. The paper pack is Lawn Fawn”Peace, Joy, Love.” The card base die is Simon Says Stamp.
We can’t wait to see what your early Holiday Wishes look like at Send a Smile 4 Kids!
Happy Friday! It’s new challenge time at A Day For Daisies and we are using “Plaid.” Plaid goes so well with the showcase of our Veggie Lover collection!
I decided to make my own plaid pattern using The Alley Way’s “Crossing Lines” stamp set, but there are a lot of plaid stamp sets out there or pull from lined stamps already in your stash. If you ever need inspiration, Laura Bassen of Doublestick Heaven is the queen of plaid. For my colors I used Hero Arts Butter Bar, Soft Leaf, Raspberry Jam and Simon Says Stamp, Green Leaf.
I colored the “Fancy Beets” with Copics in R37, R39 and RV99. The stems were colored in YG03, YG17 and YG67. The sentiment label and circle die are Clearly Besotted, thanks sentiment is Simon Says Stamp, and “a bunch” is WPlus9.
Happy Monday! For this challenge, we are celebrating “Girls, Girls, Girls,” at Cards in Envy this week. Please make sure your card is a standard A2 size without any large lumps or bumps. The challenge will run through Sunday, June 14th. Our design team will also be choosing their favorite cards to feature on the The Cards in Envy blog.
My card uses “Sassy Studio’s “Snow Queen.” I colored this beauty with copic markers and used the Simple Stories “Vintage Bliss.” paper pack. The roses and sentiment are stamp and die set from Clearly Besotted called “Love Quotes,” stamped with Hero Arts Shadow ink. The tag die is Paper Trey Ink. Finally the edge stitching is from a Simon Says Stamp die.
It’s another fun Saturday at The Crafty Nurses’ Blog! I sure hope you are making some time for crafting this weekend. Today, for the next Open-Minded Crafting Challenge we are celebrating weddings and anniversaries. Our challenge runs through Friday, May 22nd and as usual, we have some awesome prizes for our randomly chosen winners.
This week our sponsors are:
For this wedding challenge, Fairy Tangles provided me with a gorgeous digital image called, “Forget Me Not.” She looks like a stunning bride from days gone past. I colored her with Copic Markers and used a few different sizes of Lawn Fawn’s rectangle stitched dies. The sentiment is from Clearly Besotted, “Love Quotes”.
I sure hope you come over to the Open-Minded Crafting Wedding and Anniversary Challenge and show us what inspires you!
Happy Monday! Spring is in the Air for our Cards in Envy Challenge this week. That means making a card with anything having to do with Spring!
Please make sure your card fits into a standard A2 card without any large lumps or bumps. The challenge will run through Sunday, March 29th. Our design team will also be choosing their favorite cards to feature on the The Cards in Envy blog.
My card features a Sassy Cheryl image called, “Polly’s Pink Flower.” I can’t find her on the site anymore, but check out the store for other great images. I used Copic Markers to color the image and a My Favorite Things Blueprints die to cut her out. Sentiment is Clearly Besotted “Spring Blooms” and the background is Impression Obsessions splatter stamp.
Can’t wait to see what Spring looks like for you!
