It’s Friday and time for a new release at A Day For Daisies! In addition, we are still running the “Plaid” challenge so I sure hope you’ll pop by the ADFD Blog by September 10th to enter your card for a chance to win some free images!
For my Design Team inspiration, I chose “Fairy Rose Portrait” to color for you today. I used Copic Markers in an unusual color combination of B01, B02, YG03, YG17, YG67, Y00, Y11, and Y15 for the wings and the same colors for the roses. I know, roses are usually not multi-colored in yellow, blue and green but I couldn’t help myself. Believe it or not, I actually colored the roses pink, but didn’t like the way it turned out so my fix was to re-print the image and pop-up the roses after recoloring them and cutting them out. Try to salvage your projects when you can friends. Her hair is E50, E50, E55 & E57 and Skin is E50, E51, E21 and E93 for blush.
The paper pad is from Glitz called, “Brightside” collection. The embossing folder is Cuttlebug and the leaf die is Cherry Lynn. I cut out the Glitz paper with a Simon Says Stamp stitched card die.
This card is inspired by Laura Bassen of Doublestick Heaven and is a technique of adding Distress Ink’s to a stamping block, spritzing with water and applying to watercolor paper. Check out her fun video for details. The sentiment stamp is from the new release from Simon Says Stamp called Friendship Messages. The butterfly is a Cherry Lynn Die. I entered the card in Shopping our Stash, and Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge.
