Send a Smile 4 Kids Early Holidays Wishes

Happy October!  This year has just flown by but we are coming into my absolute favorite time of the year. Today, I’m posting some early holiday inspiration for the Send a Smile 4 Kids “holiday” challenge.  Send a Smile 4 Kids is a great organization that provides cards to hospitalized children who I’m sure can use some holiday cheer this time of year.  We all know how hard it is to be away from your family, so how about entering the challenge and sending in some cards for kids?  Check out the guidelines here.

My card today features the sweet Bugaboo Bear called, “Ornaments Bear”.  I colored him up with Copic Markers and stenciled white pigment ink using a stencil over pattern paper.   The oval die is by My Favorite things.

My card today features the Bugaboo image, “Kid Pocket Topper.'”  I colored him with Copic Markers and used the My Minds Eye “Adventure” collection. The flag and circle dies are My Favorite Things and the sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp, “Big Hugs” die.  I did some faux stitching with my favorite white pen the Uniball Signo White Gel Pen.

I love Bugaboo images and today I’ve chosen to color up “Ornaments Bear” with Copic Markers.  The background is Hero Arts Silver Pigment ink that is heat set with clear powder.

Send a Smile 4 Kids: Challenge 111 – Early Holiday Wishes

Happy Saturday my Friends.  Here at Send a Smile 4 Kids (SAS4Kids) we are celebrating some early Holiday Wishes. SAS4Kids is committed to supporting hospitalized children by providing home-made cards that parents, staff, or even the kids themselves can give during this time of need.  It’s not a sad cause, in fact, we don’t focus on Get Well cards at all, but make the cards happy and fun.   I sure hope you will join both in our challenge and by sending in some cards, especially during this holiday season.  To find out more about donation, look here.

My first card features “DeeDee Digi’s Merry & Bright.”  This is an adorable penguin pair comes both in line images and pre-colored. There is also some great sentiments in this set and was super fun to color with my Copic Markers. The snow globe is a die from My Favorite Things, the paper pack is “Bundled Up” by Carta Bella, my sentiment is Clearly Besotted, and I cut out glittered snowflakes using the Lawn Fawn snowflake die.

My second card is from Bugaboo “Make it Snappy – Merry Christmoose,”  I also colored this with Copic Markers.  The paper pack is Lawn Fawn”Peace, Joy, Love.” The card base die is Simon Says Stamp.

I love Bugaboo images and today I’ve chosen to color up Girlz-Witchy. I’ve colored this sassy witch with Copic Markers and used a bit of various refill and 91% alcohol to create the background.

The paper is an older pack from Authentique called, “Enchanted.”  The sentiment is from Inkadinkado.

Brown Sugar Challenge #159 – School!

Happy Friday!  It’s time for a new challenge at Brown Sugar Challenges and today, we are featuring “School”.  This challenge is sponsored Bugaboo who is offering a gift of 7 Digital Images for our winner.

For my card today, I’ve used Bugaboo’s image called, “AKV School Boy” to showcase my “School” card.  I colored this young man with Copic Markers and used Doodlebug’s “Back to School” 6 x 6 paper pad. My image and card base were cut out using a My Favorite Things Blueprint die and I kept the embellishments simple by popping up the pencil and stamping the sentiment from “I Love School” a stamp set from TPC Studios.

For my card I chose Sping Elephant 2″, which I colored with Copic Markers and used the Fancy Pants “Memories Captured” 6×6 paper pack.  I fussy cut the clouds and popped them up with foam tape.  I loved the geometric lines on this card design and backed all the paper with black card stock to help it pop.

For my card I chose Bugaboo’s “Sunflower Stainglass”, which I colored with Copic Markers and used the Basic Grey’s “Fresh Cut” paper pack.  The Thanks die is Papertrey Ink “Wet Paint Sentiments” cut out 4 times then stacked to give depth.
