Try Stampin’ on Tuesday: Sketch #214
It’s Tuesday and time for Try Stampin’ on Tuesday Sketch Challenge. Today will be my last challenge with Try Stampin’ and I want to send a special thank you to Cheryl Ann Robinson, the blog owner for giving me the opportunity to work with her back before I even had a blog. Thanks again Cheryl Ann! I’m going to miss all of you.
For my last card I chose a Rebecca Sinz digital image called, “Forget Me Not.” The paper is from Crate Paper’s “Kiss, Kiss” collection. I colored the image with Copic Markers. My sentiment is from a great set for cards by My Craft Spot called, Tiny Tags 2.
I sure hope we’ll see you at Try Stampin’ on Tuesday with your card entry for this week. Happy Tuesday!

I stamped the tower onto paper from Echo Park’s “Getaway” 6 x 6 pack using Hero Arts shadow ink. I used the Lawn Fawn Journaling die as the center focal to hold my image and fussy cut the map element from the paper pack. I finished off the card with some gold enamel dots and distressed ink. Makes me say Oooh La La!

Try Stampin’ on Tuesday: Sketch Challenge #206
It’s Tuesday and that means it’s time for a new sketch. Today Barb created a hand drawn sketch, which I love. You have until Monday, February 23rd to enter and the design team will be choosing their favorites which will be featured on the Try Stampin’ on Tuesday blog.
For my inspiration I’ve used the February Simon Says Stamp card kit. The heart die is Impression Obsession found on Simon Says Stamp which was inlayed into the die using the paper from the kit. The other hearts on the card are chipboard colored with pan pastels. The background panels are My Favorite Things rectangle die.
Hope you like this sketch too and join us this week at Try Stampin’ on Tuesday.
Try Stampin’ on Tuesday – Challenge #204
As we scoop ourselves out of the snow here in New York, we’ve got another Try Stampin’ on Tuesday Sketch Challenge. The challenge will remain open until Monday, February 9th and to keep it light and easy, there is no specific theme.
Here’s the sketch:
I chose to go with a masculine/boy style card and rotate the sketch making a horizontal card. I used the “Boy oh Boy” 6 x 6 paper pad from Carta Bella. The eyeglass die is My Favorite Things and the “eye chart” and sentiment is Tim Holtz. Background is Impression Obsession. My plan is to donate this to Send a Smile 4 Kids because they are expanding and have gotten more hospitals in need of cards. Those of you who were sending tons of cards to Operation Write Home and have extras now they have slowed down, please consider donating to this great cause. Here’s how.
One last tidbit. If you like my new Watermark I got it from Karen Giron, at the Sweetest Thing blog who is offering these at a GREAT price. Please support her new endeavor and pass the word to your groups as watermarks are always needed.

Try Stampin’ on Tuesday – Challenge #202
Happy Tuesday! It’s time for a Try Stampin’ on Tuesday Sketch challenge. This week doesn’t have a specific theme, but I’ve chosen a Thank you card as I can never have enough of those. You have until Monday, January 26th to enter.
Here’s the Sketch:
My card uses Carta Belle 6 x 6 paper pad, “Warm & Cozy”. I cut ovals from My Favorite Things and inked the edges with distress ink in Antique Linen. The sentiment is a word die by Lawn Fawn and to make it stand out, I cut it out four times and layered it. The fiber is from Club Scrap and the metal element is way old from my stash.
I hope you’ll join us this week at Try Stampin’ on Tuesday!

The red hearts are stamped using Simon Says Stamp “Red Lipstick” ink and the bow is ribbon from Club Scrap.

Try Stampin’ on Tuesday Sketch Challenge – Theme: Family
Happy Tuesday! That means it’s time for a new Try Stampin’ on Tuesday Sketch and this week we are celebrating Family! What a perfect theme for this time of year and I couldn’t think of anything more appropriate than to highlight the ugly sweater. We may not want to admit it but we’ve all gotten one at one time or another from family. The sketch challenge runs through Monday, December 22nd and I look forward to seeing how you use this sketch and if you want to, the family theme.
Now, here’s the sketch and my inspiration for you:
I used Art Impression’s Ugly Sweater stamp that included the sentiment and colored her with Copic Markers. The paper was from 2013’s Simon Says Stamp extra card kit and the postage edge was created using a Fiskar’s punch. The gold strip is some great Sparkle tape from Darice that doesn’t rub off and is self-adhesive. Now, let’s see your creations!
Try Stampin’ on Tuesday Challenge #196 – Theme: Peace
Happy Tuesday! That means it’s time for Try Stampin’ on Tuesday’s Sketch Challenge! Today we are celebrating the theme of PEACE. What a wonderful sentiment as we begin the rushed holiday season. I have been so inspired making this years Christmas cards and I hope you will join us this week using the provided sketch to make one of your holiday cards. You have until Monday, December 8th to entry.
Ready for some inspiration?
I used a Stampendous stamp and colored this “Jolly Santa” with Copic Markers. The dies are Lawn Fawn’s stitched frames and Echo Park’s “Holly Jolly” 6 x 6 paper pad. The peace sentiment from Julie Ebersole at Ellen Hutson was cut out several times with white paper, then once with black glitter paper. I adhered them all together to make a raised die cut (learned from the great Jennifer McGuire). I finished off with some enamel dots and white gel pen highlights. Thanks for stopping by!
