For my first card I took all the chevron arrows from “Good Point” and began stamping them with Simon Says Stamp white pigment ink. Making sure that was completely dry, I then stamped over that and to the left with Hero Arts Shadow Inks. I heat embossed the sentiment from “Star of the Show,” added sequins, and then applied stickles to the center for a little shine.
My second card features “Kid N’ Caboodle” and “Star of the Show” This time I chose the Lightening Bug image to highlight. I love that you can make so many fun cards from one set. I made the background by white heat embossing the large stars image then inked with Distress Ink in blues and purples. The moon is also inked with distress ink and faux stitched using a Copic Multi-liner. The “Thanks” sentiment is a die from Papertrey Ink and the hill border is a die from Lawn Fawn. Using the sentiment from the set I made this into a great thank you card.
I hope you enjoyed the cards made for The Alley Way Stamps. It was great fun to work with these super whimsical stamps and look forward to seeing some of your projects out there on social media.
The Crafty Nurse
Hello Crafty Friends! I am here as a guest designer for The Alley Way Stamps Blog for the month of September. I was excited to participate with The Alley Way as they have such whimsical stamps that are super fun to color.
I will be posting twice this month and for my first post I am featuring the adorable stamp set called, “Kid N’ Caboodle.” This versatile set comes in both rubber and SVG. For my first card I colored this adorable froggy with Copic Markers and stamped the sentiment multiple times across the grass. The cloud die is new from Lawn Fawn called “Puffy Cloud Borders” and colored with Pan Pastels. The balloon and grass dies are from My Favorite Things.
My second card features both “Kid N’ Caboodle” and “Good Point” both in clear stamps and SVG files. This time I chose the Lady Bug image to make a slider card. If you haven’t made a slider before, here is a tutorial from Sandy Allnock. I colored the this sweet ladybug with Copic Markers then used Ranger Black Enamel to give shine to her dots. The pull sentiment is from “Good Point,” which has lots of other great sentiments for interactive cards.
Here is the card with the tab pulled out showing the fun love bug sentiment from “Kid N. Caboodle”.
I hope you enjoyed the cards made for The Alley Way Stamps. I’ll be back on September 20th with two more cards to share.
