Here’s a simple watercolored Paper Smooches image from Birthday Buddies that is heat embossed with clear powder after stamping with black Versafine ink. The design uses the Sweet Sunday Sketch 232. Paper pack is Echo Park “Getaway” I borrowed his stamp neighbor, the earth worm’s hat. Watercolor is done with distress inks and on 140 lb Strathmore paper. I cut it up in 4 1/4 by 5 1/2 inch sheets so I have a card front ready to go. I used a Paper Studio embossing folder and edged that with white ink. The button die is Impression Obsession and tied with hemp cord.
Now that the Operation Write Home Memorial Day Blog Hop is winding down and boy, what a success that was! – I’m back in my May Simon Says Stamp Card kit. This card uses a Day For Daisies digital image and a Sweet Sunday Sketch #178. I’ve entered the card in both challenges as well as Catered Crop Garden Party, Crazy 4 Challenges 237, and Brown Sugar Blog Challenge 95. Sentiment is from Savvy Stamps and gems are from kit.
This is another water color image from class using the Penny Black “Blooming Garden” set. The paper pad is 6 x 6 Basic Grey’s “Fresh Cut” – I do love this paper! The sketch is from Sweet Sunday 220, another great challenge blog. I’m really happy with the way these tulips came out. They are done with distress inks and water. The frame around the designer paper is washi from Lily Bee and came with a previous Simon Says Stamp card kit. The sentiment is from WPlus9 “Fanciful Feathers”. Also entered in The Paper Players “Clean & Simple with Flowers”, Case Study 191, and Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge.
