Lindy’s Stamp Gang Feb 2016 Color Challenge
I was home today after spending more time in the dental chair having my 5th root canal since November so what else do you do when you’re feeling blue, but to create ART! At least I do. So, today I worked on the February 2016, Lindy’s Stamp Gang Challenge.
I was really inspired by the colors for this challenge and luckily, had them all already in my stash. I used Flat Fabio Spray in, “Lucious Lime” and Flat Fabio Magical “Tears on My Pillow Tangerine” and Starburst Sprays in, Delphinium Turquoise , Jazzy Jivin’ Purple, and Hottie Patottie Hot Pink.
I went clean and geometric for this card but still wanted to add a little bit of the botanical inspiration from the elephant. To accomplish this, I added the My Favorite Things feathers, which I sprayed with Delphinium Turquoise and Luscious Lime after heat embossing with Repeat Impressions “Tumbling Hearts 1210-K” in white powder. I then added gold and platinum embossing powders to add sparkle and shine. My flag dies are from My Favorite Things and my sentiment is Wplus9 cut from remaining colored paper. As a final step I applied colored hearts.

Ellen Hutson’s January Mix It Up Challenge
Over at the Ellen Hutson’s Classroom there is a Mix It Up Challenge that calls for a card using products from Ellen Hutson and for January, My Favorite Things. I probably use either a My Favorite Things stamp or die on every project so I just had to participate.
In fact, I just got the new release Tag Builders 5 in the mail today so I was exceptionally happy to play with my new goodies. For the Ellen component, I used the great starburst image in “Merry & Bright” both in the tag and in the background. I created the shaker with the Tag Builders die by MFT and for paper I used MyMinds Eye “Fancy That.” Finally, for the sentiment I used another new release stamp called, “Love You More.”

Ellen Hutson’s Pin-Sight Challenge December
Today I got off work a little early and wanted to play so I created my December Pin-Sight Challenge for Ellen Hutson’s Classroom. Here is the inspiration:
I used the inspiration from Julie’s past Make it Monday using the Brushstroke Christmas. I also used Mistletoe & Holly stamp and dies stamping them with gold embossing powder and watercoloring with Distress Markers. The background is We R Memory Keepers Basketweave folder cut from My Favorite Things Brushed Gold Metallic paper.

A Day For Daisies
Hello! Today I’ve got a quick card for A Day For Daisies current challenge. The requirement is to either paper piece of paper pierce. I chose to pierce. I used an old template from my stash to create the piercings and colored the image with Copic Markers. I inadvertently got smeared printer ink on the background so it became a night scene. The remainder of the card is from the June Simon Says Stamp card kit.

Ellen Hutson’s June Pin Sight Challenge
Happy Saturday! Today I’ve made a card for Ellen Hutson’s Pin Sight Challenge. This is a super fun challenge that offers a great prize!
Here’s the inspiration:
I began by stamping Wish Big by Julie Ebersole in Hero Arts Shadow Ink then colored them with Copic Markers. I added some highlights in the balloons with my favorite white Signo Uniball then splattered with gold and black. I added the card panel crooked to give a little birthday whimsy.

Doodle Pantry – Camper
Hello friends. Today I used Doodle Pantry’s “Happy Trails Camper” that I colored with Copics. In addition to the individual images there are a few “scenes” already put together for coloring. To achieve the night sky, I used BV25 with white gel pen for stars (thanks for the tip Sandy Allnock). The dies used are Memory Box, Lawn Fawn, Simon Says Stamp, and My Favorite Things. The paper is Carte Bella “Boy oh Boy.”

Lawnscaping Challenge – Try a New Technique
Today I broke out my distress ink cubes to watercolor with for the Lawnscaping “Try a New Technique” challenge. I hadn’t had a chance to use the “Soy Happy” stamp set so I thought the two would be a good merge.
I started with the new Tim Holtz stencil called “Mesh” using old paper distress ink. After watercoloring all the images on watercolor paper stamped with archival ink I fussy cut them and went around with a black pen to clean up the edges (for more on how to do this check out my other post). I arranged the images and stamped the heart coloring it with Pigma Archival Brush Pen in red.
Thanks for stopping by!

Mix it Up Challenge using Ellen & Avery Elle
Happy Thursday Friends. Today I broke out my Dylusions Ink to do some watercoloring to enter my card into the Ellen Mix It Up Challenge. For this challenge Ellen chooses one other company for a combined product challenge. This week it’s Avery Elle.
My card features the “Mondo Magnolia” by Ellen and the Avery Elle “Gift Tag” set. To achieve this look I followed Julie Ebersole’s tutorial from a previous “Hello Monday” called “Magic Watercolor” – Thanks Julie!
Believe it or not, Julie almost scrapped this because she didn’t like how it came out at first but I’m thrilled she persevered. The birthday sentiment is from “Cupcake Party” by Simon Says Stamp.
