Doodle Pantry – Camper

Hello friends.  Today I used Doodle Pantry’s “Happy Trails Camper” that I colored with Copics.  In addition to the individual images there are a few “scenes” already put together for coloring.  To achieve the night sky, I used BV25 with white gel pen for stars (thanks for the tip Sandy Allnock).  The dies used are Memory Box, Lawn Fawn, Simon Says Stamp, and My Favorite Things.  The paper is Carte Bella “Boy oh Boy.”

From The Heart Stamps “Hedgie”

Happy Friday!  If you aren’t aware, “From The Heart Stamps” gives away a digital stamp if you use it in a design and enter the challenge that same month.  This month’s freebie was this adorable Hedgie.  I adore FTHS digi’s as they have such character.  FTHS also does sketch challenges and provides some really different and fun sketches.

For my entry I used Simple Stories “DIY Boutique” paper to highlight this Hedgie.  The polaroid die is My Favorite Things as are the stitched tags coming from the sides.  The sentiment from a Pure Innocence set, is also from MFT.  Finally, the stitched card base die is Simon Says Stamp.

Tim Holtz February Tag 2015

Can anyone tell me where this darn year is heading so fast?  Is it really February already?

Enough nostalgia, let’s get to some art!  I had a great time making Tim Holtz’s February’s tag.  It’s collaging, which I’m really not that good at, but I gave it my best.  I didn’t have the Ephemera pack that the project called for so I printed different vintage valentine images from the internet distressed them, and made the base for my tag, or should I say tags since I decided to create two while I was at it.

Simon Says Stamp February Card Kit using Sugar Sketch 19

Hello all and happy Friday!  With all the weather we have been having the mail has been delayed and I just got my February Simon Says Stamp kit in the mail yesterday.  Here is my first card using the kit and I can tell this is going to be one of my favorites.  I love the color and the extras in this months kit. I used the Sugar Sketch 19 as a basis to make the card.  The die is from Impression Obsession that I paper pieced with the kit papers.  The hearts are from the rub-ons and the bar across the card is from the paint chip paper.

Operation Write Home Blog Hop Entry

This weekend, Operation Write Home is celebrating “Black Friday” with “Red” Friday by having a blog hop and prize give away.  Please support OWH by both going to the blog and doing the hop.  It would be extra special if you could make a card and send it in to OWH.  This time of year is the lowest donation time and the need remains for cards.  The blog focuses on love cards today, so my entry uses a Rubbernecker Stamps set called “Field of Poppies” with a sentiment from the “Love Quotes” set by Clearly Besotted.  I used distress inks and the spritzer tool.

Lawn Fawn Halloween

I’m enjoying another day off and having fun with my stamps and ink.  Today I am playing with the Lawn Fawn “Monster Mash” and “Wish You Were Here” stamp set to make a Halloween card.  The background is distress ink in Chipped Sapphire, Seedless Preserves, Scattered Straw, Mustard Seed, and Black Soot.  I added some Perfect Pearls mixed with water for the “stars” and the white uniball pen to add spots on the monsters.  The wire is stamped with the dot pattern from “Wish You Were Here”.  The monsters are colored with Copic Markers and the spider is from the “Halloweenies” Paper Smooches stamp set. The ground is paper from Authentique and I used the curved Simon Says Stamp die and the Paper Smooches stitched curve.

Simon Says Stamp September Card Kit #3 & Tip

You are Fantastic

Wooden Dots

Here is my 3rd card from the Simon Says Stamp September kit.  Today I altered the color of the wooden dots with a sharpie paint marker.  I also used this great marker to edge any die cuts so it picks up a cast shadow and looks like you are a cutting pro.   The design of the card was based on The Paper Players card sketch #210.  I stamped the images with Hero Arts Cup O Joe, Soft Brown, and Butter Bar.  The circle die is My Favorite Things.

My last card for Simon Says Stamp August Card Kit, which is just in time too because I saw that the September Kit was just announced and it looks so fun!  Today’s card uses a Doodle Pantry pre-colored image.  I also went old-school and put in some eyelets and realized why I don’t do this anymore….. Card is based on Sketch from Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2.
