My Favorite Things Sketch #214

Happy Sunday Friends.  Today, I’ve chosen to work on sketch #214 from My Favorite Things.  The image is “Birthday Princess” I bought on the cheap from the last MFT sale.  I colored her with copics and paper pieced her with the February Simon Says Stamp kit, which I also used for the design papers on the card.  The circle die is MFT also.

Happy BD

So Thankful for You

Thankful Pumpkin Lawnfawn

Here is a card using the sketch outline from Seize the Sketch made with Sticky Back Canvas and painted with acrylic paints.  The stamps and sentiment are both Lawn Fawn and the image is embossed, though the canvas absorbed most of the ink and didn’t leave too much embossing behind.  I just wanted to make sure I didn’t have bleeding paint.  The leaf in the corner is burlap.  Design paper is Lawn Fawn “into the woods”.

Simon Says Stamp August Kit – Card #2

Here is card two for August Simon Says Stamp kit using Seize the Sketch #25.  I used the watercolor paper in the kit to stamp the ice cream images with black versafine, embossed it with clear powder, then colored with distress markers and inks.  I did cut apart the stamped sentiment and left off the last few words “and that’s a lot”, as it just didn’t fit my card.

This card uses Seize the Sketch #23 and A Day For Daisies digital image colored w/Copics using My Minds Eye “Tangerine” 6 x 6 paper pad.  The background technique is called pointillism, which is simply a bunch of dots made with the makers that are more focused in the center and then dissipates toward the edges.  The sentiment is from My Favorite Things and the banner die is Simon Says Stamp.
