I have been buying Lindy’s Stamp Gang products for over 10 years now and I love them as much today as I did when I got my first “moon shadows”. This months color scheme for the Lindy’s February 2015 Color Challenge is very vibrant so instead of doing full sprays on my card, I spattered. I stenciled the heart using 3D molding paste mixed with Black Orchid Black magical mica (I think this is discontinued as I couldn’t find in the store). This isn’t the black that was called for in the challenge, but it was the only color I didn’t have on hand out of the 5 chosen, so I improvised. I then splattered Caribbean Blue Flat Fabio, Bougainvillea Fuchsia Starburst, Pretty in Pink Pink Starburst, and Frozen Jack Frost making sure to dry in between each layer. That helps so the colors don’t muddy. I also created my own stencil mask using the Simon Says Stamp “Clustered Leaf Die”. I based my design on the Freshly Made sketch below.
Here is the color palette:
Here is my last card for this SSS September kit. I do have some papers left, but I’m ready to say goodbye to this kit. Not that I didn’t like it, it’s just so outside of my style I’m ready to move on. This card was based on the Freshly Made Sketch 151. I used a WPlus9 “hello” die.
Card made with Bazzill’s Autumn Harvest paper pack and a QKR Digital Image colored with copics. The sentiment is Simon Says stamp as is the label die it’s on. I edged the card with distress ink and called it a fall card to send to Operation Write Home.
Finally back to my August Simon Says Stamp Card kit for August. Today, I’ve used a Paper Shelter digi and sketch by Freshly Made Sketches. I colored this cute digi with Copics and used a sentiment from My Favorite Things “I’m Raptor around your fingers” set. The cool edges of green paper are using the new Paper Smooches die that creates faux stitching. Great set of dies.
Here is another scrap card from my May Simon Says Stamp kit. When I was done I ran the whole card through an embossing folder from The Paper Studio (Hobby Lobby). The sentiment is embossed w/white powder and the faux stitching is made with my favorite pen, the Signo Uniball White Pen. I splattered the background with Dylusions “White Linen”. I love how many cards you can get out of one kit.
My fourth card for May’s Simon Says Stamp kit uses a sketch from Freshly Made Sketches #137. I colored the remote with copics, the background with the kit stencil and Versamark ink, and some distress inking. Also entered in Send a Smile 4 Kids Challenge.
Still using up the last scraps of my April Simon Says Stamp Card Kit. These are such a great value for the amount of cards you can make. This card uses the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches. Sentiment is from Our Daily Bread “Ornate Frame Sentiments”. The strip on the side is fabric tape and circle die from My Favorite Things “stitched circles”. Entered in Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge.
