My 5th card uses Deconstructed Sketch 181 starting with the Taffy Bazzill card stock and embossing it with a Sizzix Snowflake folder. I then sprayed that background with perfect pearl mist and sprayed the mist over the ribbon so they matched.
I saw this sketch and immediately thought about using the Bigz Poinsettia die and matching embossing folder as a focal piece. I cut it out using grunge paper, then applied rock candy crackle paint. Once that dried I applied Fired Brick and Vintage photo Distress Stains. After heat setting that I then applied the same colors but in the mini ink pads. Then, I applied a small amount of Fired Brick distress paint. The center is some Hero Arts gems applied with glossy accents and glittered. The paper is Lily Bee “Jingle” 6 x 6 pad. I cut out the circles with My Favorite Things and the string is Close To My Heart wax thread in Cranberry. I love how this came out. What do you think?
Quick card today using the Deconstructed Sketch 166 and a Tiddly Inks digital image colored with Copics. The paper is from an older We R Memory Keepers pack and some Glitz gems.
It’s that time again! Fall is my favorite season for card making and the deadline for Operation Write Home Hallo “no” ween cards is August 31st, so I’m getting started so I have a few weeks to make some fun cards. This fella is from a Paper Smooches set called “Halloweenies”. Last year the dies came out with this set so I got those too. The Boo and spider die is this years release from Paper Smooches and also comes with a spider web and pumpkin. So cute. I colored this image with Copics. The tree is a rub on from “We R Memory Keepers”. The circle scallop die is My Favorite Things. The best part about this card (which you can’t really tell) is that I put an action wobbler on the back of this guy. When you touch the corner of the image, it wiggles, so it makes the Googly eyes roll around in his head! HA!. Last, I used a Deconstructed Sketch by Jen Shults. She sure makes some gorgeous cards and I love following her blog.
Card three for the June Simon Says Stamp Kit uses sketch 153 from Jen at Deconstructed Sketches, a great sketch blog. I heat embossed the dot stamp for the focal image, used hero arts soft granite to ink the edges and stamp the sentiment, then embellished with washi from the kit instead of ribbon. The heart gems are from last months kit.
