We are here in Virginia in the middle of a blizzard but much to my excitement, I got the My Favorite Things January kit delivered yesterday – WOW, is this a beautiful kit. It’s pricey alright, but does include a full stamp set, die set, ink, card stock, design paper, sequins, and a inspiration sheet. I’ve made this card from a sample off that sheet. Thanks MFT!
From the Heart Stamp generously provides free digital images for those who participate in their monthly challenges. In addition, they offer 1.00 off coupons for participation in the sketch challenge. I like to do a “twofer”, meaning, I use the sketch offered and the Stamp of the Month image and enter both! I love this month’s stamp. I colored him with Copics and used My Mind’s Eye “Winter Wonderland” 6 x 6 pad. The circle die is from My Favorite Things and the Scallop Circle from Spellbinders. I’ve never seen a green birdbrain but thought I’d give it a whirl.
I just bought this Mo Manning digital image and think he is so adorable. I used the new Carta Bella “Boy oh Boy” by Carina Gardner, which is perfect for boys and teen males. The wonky shaped die is My Favorite Things Blueprint 11. The sentiment is part of a Paper Smooches “Happy Birthday” stamp, but I only inked it up half way. I really like to use my supplies in ways they weren’t intended. It makes me feel like I’m getting my monies worth! I colored the image with Copics and inked the edges with Antique Linen Distress Inks.

Used Art Impressions Watercolor Stamp line to stamp flower image and pot. They have great tutorials on how to do this. As my first go at it, I’m fairly pleased, though I still have a lot to learn. The stamps are colored using Distress Markers, then gone over with a water brush. Papers are from Glitz “Hello Darling” collection. Banner is Simon Says Stamp as is sentiment and rose is My Favorite Things. I used Smooth Bristol as base.
