We are here in Virginia in the middle of a blizzard but much to my excitement, I got the My Favorite Things January kit delivered yesterday – WOW, is this a beautiful kit. It’s pricey alright, but does include a full stamp set, die set, ink, card stock, design paper, sequins, and a inspiration sheet. I’ve made this card from a sample off that sheet. Thanks MFT!
Hello friends. Today I used Doodle Pantry’s “Happy Trails Camper” that I colored with Copics. In addition to the individual images there are a few “scenes” already put together for coloring. To achieve the night sky, I used BV25 with white gel pen for stars (thanks for the tip Sandy Allnock). The dies used are Memory Box, Lawn Fawn, Simon Says Stamp, and My Favorite Things. The paper is Carte Bella “Boy oh Boy.”
This card features a Mo Manning digital image called, “Eli”, which I colored with Copic markers and cut out with My Favorite Things stitched square dies. The paper pack is an older one but still a favorite by My Mind’s Eye named “Be Amazing.” I used “Be You”, a Simon Says Stamp set with word die. I finished off with Distress ink in Antique Linen and Gathered Twigs around the paper edges. This sweet image reminds me of my son Matt, who adored sitting in anything that he could construct be it a box or a laundry basket.
Happy Sunday Friends. Today, I’ve chosen to work on sketch #214 from My Favorite Things. The image is “Birthday Princess” I bought on the cheap from the last MFT sale. I colored her with copics and paper pieced her with the February Simon Says Stamp kit, which I also used for the design papers on the card. The circle die is MFT also.
Hello all and happy Friday! With all the weather we have been having the mail has been delayed and I just got my February Simon Says Stamp kit in the mail yesterday. Here is my first card using the kit and I can tell this is going to be one of my favorites. I love the color and the extras in this months kit. I used the Sugar Sketch 19 as a basis to make the card. The die is from Impression Obsession that I paper pieced with the kit papers. The hearts are from the rub-ons and the bar across the card is from the paint chip paper.
One of the challenges I personally love participating in is the A Day For Daisies. One of the reasons I enjoy participating is that Tammy, the owner and artist is kind enough to provide freebies for each and every participant. Thanks Tammy! Today I colored Doll Face Beauty #5 with copics for this weeks challenge that calls for use of ombre. I took my favorite Kuretake Watercolors and used the golds, copper and pearl to create a ombre background. The sentiment is Clearly Besotted. I kept the rest of the card very clean and simple.
I’ve combined the From The Hearth Stamps monthly freebie (when you participate in the monthly challenge) and this weeks sketch #92.
I used Amy Tangerine’s “Ready Set Go” paper pad and an enamel dot.
This cute little Fairy Bug is free on The Day For Daisies challenge site. Come on over, get her, and enter a card for a chance to win. I colored my card with Copics, cut her out with my Spellbinders hexagon dies, and added a Lawn Fawn stitched border. The paper is an older My Mind’s Eye paper pack called Quite Contrary Jack & Jill. Sentiment is My Favorite Things “I Pick You” and I finished with a few gems.
For this card I used Retro Sketches design 146. I created a frame using My Favorite Things square Dies and stamped the sentiment using “Birthday Buddies” from Paper Smooches. I embossed the background using “Tiny Triangles” from Hero Arts and stamped the sentiment with Navy Hero Arts Shadow Ink. The button is also MFT die tied with Close To My Heart Waxy Thread.
My October Simon Says Stamp card kit came in a few days ago, but I haven’t had a chance to start playing with it because of my other design team commitments. The colors are very rich and vibrant using Basic Grey’s Grand Bazar collection. I used a digital image from A Day For Daisies and colored her with Copic Markers. I then used the Sketch from Crazy 4 Challenges #254 and a sentiment from Simon Says Stamp’s “Happy Every Day” set. The card base is from the small Lawn Fawn stitched frame sets and I finished the card with some faux stitching and a My Mind’s Eye enamel dot. Thanks for stopping by, happy MONDAY!
