Today I have another Christmas card for you using the November SSS Kit and the CAS(E) this sketch design. I bought some shaved ice to add as chunky snow for my trees and loved the effect. If you need some I saw it at Joann.com on sale. I used the Lawn Fawn stitched hill dies and a bunny (colored with Copics) from the new Snow Day stamp set. The “candy cane” stripes are also from the SSS kit stamp set as are the sequins. I also used distress inks around the edges in mowed lawn and Hero Arts shadow inks for the trees. Happy Wednesday!
Here is my first card from the September Simon Says Stamp card kit. The paper is from October Afternoon and has a vintage feel to the whole kit. This isn’t my normal style but I am pleased with the outcome. I did use the CASE(E) this Sketch #89 as a starting point and kept a Clean and Simple feel. Stamping is done with Hero Arts Shadow Ink in Cup o’ Joe and Soft Sand. The apple is Simon Says Stamp Lipstick red and Distress Ink Peeled Paint. Thanks for checking in this morning!
I just love this technique by Julie Ebersole that she taught in Ellen Hutson’s Classroom. If you haven’t checked it out, it’s a treat. I thought about this technique again when making this card for CAS(E) this sketch. I used Dylusions Sprays in Cherry Pie, Pure Sunshine, Squeezed Orange and Dirty Martini. The top card stamp is Penny Black from “Blooming Garden” and the bottom from Innovated Stamp Creations. Sentiment from WPlus 9 “Hand Lettered Hello”.
Here are two more cards for the June Kit from Simon Says Stamp. The first card uses the (CAS)e This Sketch as inspiration for the stamp set that was white embossed and colored with Pan Pastels (wow these are so cool). The white splats are Memories Mists in Whipped Cream mixed with water. The gems are from Reflections (Michael’s brand) and Queen and Company. The hemp bow is from my stash.
The second card uses up the paper scraps from the kit with some of the Washi in an attempt to balance all the patterns, though, not sure it really worked. Oh, well, they can’t all be masterpieces – LOL.
Got this new stamp set from Alte New “Hennah Elements” and thought it was perfect for the CAS(e) this Sketch challenge 78. I colored the images with copics then fussy cut them. A great way to make suer you look like your an expert cutter is to outline your image with a black brush marker so it has a perfect black outline. The sentiment is embossed with clear over Versafine and cut from Simon Says Stamp “Friendship Messages”. The label die is also from Simon and the black gems are from Michael’s. Hop you are enjoying your weekend. I sure am. I love not having to do homework all weekend!
