Pretty Pink Posh Watercolor Hop

Hope you aren’t sick of my posts today – but it’s busy here at the Crafty Nurse’s Blog!  Today I’m sharing the watercolor card I made for the Pretty Pink Posh Blog Hop entry.  There are so many beautiful watercolor entries it’s worth checking out.

This is very similar to the previous gnome watercolor but he’s so stinkin’ cute I couldn’t resist. I used the new Zig Clean Color Real Brush for the image and my Hobby Lobby watercolor set for the background.  I wanted a little more color and movement on this card which I think I got.  The sentiment is from Happy & Smile from Simon Says Stamp.

Love School

Happy Friday All!  I’ve created a back to school card this morning using Mojo Monday Sketch and Simon Says Stamp Alphabet Stencil sprayed with Dylusions sprays.  The paper is from My Mind’s Eye “Adventure” pack and I created a textured piece using a Bity Stencil by Balzer’s Design.  Sentiment is My Favorite Things and Image is from Doodle Pantry colored with Copics, cut out with a My Favorite Things Stitched die, and edged with distress ink in antique linen.  Finally, I used fibers from Tim Holtz.

Birthday Girl

Birthday Girl - Mo Manning Digi

Don’t you just love Mo Manning’s Digital images?  I sure do.  So whimsical and darling. I colored this digi with Copic Markers and used Doodle Bug paper.  The sketch is from The Fusion Challenge.  Background was created with the Simon Says Stamp Wave Stencil and the sea horse and foliage is from Tim Holtz Dies.  The sea horse and starfish are cut out with “sand” paper from Club Scrap. The sentiment is WPlus 9 “Hand Lettered Hello” heat embossed on a My Favorite Things flag label die.

Simon Says Stamp August Card Kit – Card 4

Finally back to my August Simon Says Stamp Card kit for August.  Today, I’ve used a Paper Shelter digi and sketch by Freshly Made Sketches.  I colored this cute digi with Copics and used a sentiment from My Favorite Things “I’m Raptor around your fingers” set.  The cool edges of green paper are using the new Paper Smooches die that creates faux stitching.  Great set of dies.

A Day For Daisies Round Card

Sweet Friends

Sweet Friends

I hardly ever make round cards but the challenge for A Day For Daisies called for one so I made sure it would fit into a standard envelope so I can include it in my Operation Write Home box.  This image from ADFD is colored with copics in the blue violet family.  The paper is Glitz “Hello Darling”.  I distressed the edges and inked them with Antique Linen Distress Ink.  The banners and sentiment are from Simon Says Stamp. Circle Die is My Favorite Things and scallop is Spellbinder.
