It’s the first Wednesday of the Month and time for The House That Stamps Built color challenge! You have until Tuesday, July 12th to enter for a chance to win a $25.00 gift certificate at Repeat Impressions. Also, if you use a Repeat Impressions stamps, you will receive an additional entry for a better chance to win.
Here are this weeks colors:
For my card this week I used one of the brand new release frames Plate 10400 and the sweet “Beach Time 4503-K” Repeat Impressions stamp. The technique is from a Kit & Clowder “create & learn tutorial using alcohol inks. I started by stamping on specialty stamping paper with Versafine Black Onyx Ink, then heat embossing with clear powder. I then colored with Tombow markers. I did use a craft knife to cut out the middle of the frame so I could pop it up and have my sweet image show through.
The Crafty Nurse here with some inspiration from the July Technique Junkies release using the Cascading Images Tutorial from CD10 from April/May 2012. I started by creating a mask for the anchor from the “Better at the Lake Set of 5 #22059” set and stamping in a cascade. I watercolored the anchors with Distress Inks in Candied Apple Red and Faded Jeans, then stamped the card base with another July release stamp, “Rowboats #S712″ also in Faded Jeans Distress Ink. The focal image is also from the “Better at the Lake Set” embossed with white and blended with those same distress colors.
We sure hope you’ve had a chance to look at all the card from the July Release hop and stop by to take advantage of the 15% off this week on all July TJ Stamps.
I’ll be back later this month for more inspiration by until then, Happy Stamping!!
