I’m here today with a little Mid-Week DT Inspiration for From The Heart Stamps! My card today is colored with Copic Markers using the “Surprised Birdbrain.” I hope you’ll stop by this week to check out both the Sketch Challenge and the Stamp of the Month Challenge at the From The Heart Stamps Blog.
Hello Crafty Friends,

If you want to participate, simply purchase this months stamp, enter and next month you will get a free SOTM. As long as you continue to participate, you keep getting free stamps!!!
I colored this sweet image called, “Ice Cream Line-up” with Copic Markers and cut it out with a Lawn Fawn rectangle die. The background paper is Dear Lizzy’s Neapolitan collection and I finished off with sequins and stickles.
Hope you’ll join us for the June From The Heart Stamps Progressive Challenge.
It’s the third Wednesday of the Month and time for The House That Stamps Built photo inspiration challenge. For June we a great woodgrain pelican.
As with all our challenges, let the photo be your guide and use your creativity to inspire you. You have until Tuesday, June 21st to enter for a chance to win a $25.00 gift certificate at Repeat Impressions. If you use a Repeat Impressions stamp, you’ll get an extra entry!
Here’s the inspiration chosen by our Rock Stars:
I didn’t have a pelican so I chose this great duck in flight called “Duck Take Off 2914-I”. Then, I turned to the woodgrain pattern. I researched Pinterest and found a fabulous technique that starts with good old Elmer’s Glue applied in a few places and dried. Then you score randomly, or uniformly, whichever you prefer. After that, you apply distress ink in Antique Linen, Rusty Hinge, and Stormy Sky. I used white card stock but it may look even better on kraft. Here is the link if you want to get more details.
