Mixed Media Challenge – Silver & Gold

I was so thrilled when I received notification that I won the November Mixed Media Texture Challenge Sponsored by IndigoBlu.  I got the most FABULOUS prize package that included several stamps, the entire starter kit of gold flaking, acrylic paint, gesso, spray bottles, and design paper.  I was amazed!  To honor this special gift, I am entering the new challenge using silver & gold.

Mixed Media Challenge

I began by stamping “Madonna and Child” by Kay Halliwell-Sutton using the Flitterglu.  I then applied the IndigoBlue Mega-Flake in Winter Dawn and buffed. I cut that out and then started on my background which started with distress stains in Tarnished Brass and Brushed Pewter.  I then ran that through the We R Memory Keepers “Gemstone” embossing Folder.  I embossed Stampendous Aged Gold Frantage powder and Ranger Silver powder along the edges and finished off with gold ribbon, gold cording, and silver foil.
