Ellen Hutson’s 12 Tags with a Feminine Twist #2 & Lindy’s Stamp Gang December Color Challenge
I was so inspired by Day 5’s Feminine tags over at the Ellen Hutson’s Classroom, I had to create another. This tag is inspired by Carissa Wiley and Kryssi Ng. I loved the theme of Glitz & Glitter, which is pretty unusual for me but since I am no longer sending cards to OWH, there’s a lot more sparkle in my life! In addition, I wanted to use the Lindy’s Stamp Gang December Color Challenge as additional inspiration so here is that color palette.
I used Ellen Hutson’s Mondo Poinsettia and Brushstroke Christmas stamps as well as the Brushstroke “Joy” die. It’s all on sale now too so go check it out! I colored the poinsettia in with Lindy’s Stamp Gang Magical Mica’s in Rizzo’s Rowdy Red, Ponderosa Pines Olive and Black Orchid Black. I also used Flat Shot Cafe Au Lait for the center then dotted with a little Black Orchid Black Magical. The pine boughs from Penny Black were stamped in the background with Versamark then embossed with Snow Tinsel powder by Ranger. The tag is Papertrey Ink which I extended using the same partial die cutting technique as shown by Carissa in her video in the Ellen Classroom.
The Tags are Simon Says Stamps Wonky label cut three times using my all time favorite paper by Little Yellow Bicycle called Winterings, which is no longer available. I embossed those with the Snow Tinsel powder as well. I finished off by adding the stitched elements on the bottom, red stickles for the berries, and Penny Black birds in the trees with a bit of wink of stella.
Thanks for stopping by and checking out my second feminine tag! Which one do you prefer? There is so much inspiration in the Ellen classroom, you won’t regret stopping by.
