For those of you who don’t know about Ellen Hutson’s Classroom, you are missing a great blog where so much creativity is offered and taught. Each year Ellen hosts her own version of 12 Tags and asks they have a feminine twist. I was inspired by Carolyn Pooler and Stephanie Wincott on Day 1. I loved the use of the distress inks and floral elements in white embossing.
Thanks for stopping by and checking out my feminine tag!
Hey friends, it’s Saturday and time for another Send a Smile 4 Kids challenge. This is such a great cause that supports hospitalized children by providing them cheerful cards in times of need. What’s even better news is they are growing and need your support! If you are wondering where to send all those cards that you make, please consider donating. Here’s a link how.
For our challenge we are highlighting “Winter Fun for Kids”. Our challenges are supported by great sponsors and this week we have:
Lacy Sunshine: 3 images of winners choice
Dollar Graphic Depot: $15.00 Gift Certificate to Store
One Happy Cut: $15.00 Gift Certificate to Store
Let’s get to some inspiration. My first card features Lacy Sunshine’s “Melanie Boo Christmas Caroling” colored with copic markers. I created a stencil using multiple snowflake dies and sprayed the background with Lindy’s Stamp Gang sprays. I also added Art Anthology Gilded Gold Colorations spray to add sparkle, then ran the panel through an embossing folder to add more interest. The tag is a mini set by Clearly Besotted.
My second card features Dollar Graphic’s Studio “Freezin’ Season” also colored with Copic Markers. I made the background the same as the above card and used Clearly Besotted snowflakes and sentiment to complete the card.
I hope you’ve enjoyed my inspiration and would love to see you over at Send a Smile 4 Kids!
Today’s new Sketch Saturday challenge is sponsored by A Day For Daisies who is offering a very generous $12.00 gift certificate to her store for our random winner. Thanks Tammy! You have until Friday, December 11th for a chance to win.
Here’s the sketch:
For my card I chose a great image from A Day For Daisies called, “Candy Elf A.” I colored the image with Copic Markers and used my all time favorite Christmas paper from Basic Grey “Aspen Frost.”
I cut out the ovals and flag dies with My Favorite Things and popped up the image for more dimension. My sentiment is from Lawn Fawn.
I can’t wait to see what you come up with using the new Sketch Saturday Sketch!
