Technique Junkies – Celebration Christmas

Hello fellow Technique Junkie Friends.  This is my second post for the Technique Junkies Design Team in celebration of 30 Days of Christmas using the fabulous Technique Junkies collection.

Today I have a great technique from the Artistic Effects CD called, “Watercolor Gesso Tutorial.”  I began by creating the background using Neo II Watercolor Crayons and Gesso, then masked and stamped the beautiful “Snowflakes” in silver hero arts ink and Wilted Violet Distress Ink.

The “Magic of Christmas” sentiment is stamped and embossed for a focal point by adding foil card stock to each side.  To finish I added gems and called it Christmas!

Magic of Christmas

I hope you’ll join us over at the Technique Junkies Design Team Blog for more Christmas ideas going on through November 15th.  You can purchase your Christmas stamps at the Technique Junkies store.

  1. Very pretty, Kathy! I really like blue Xmas cards.
They provide a pleasant change for card makers.
I’ll have to add this technique to my To Do list!
