Technique Junkies Blog Hop!
Posted by urrn4u
Is it November already? Unbelievable! We are well on our way to the holidays! I sure hope you are enjoying the 30 Days of Christmas on the Technique Junkie Design Team’s site.
For today, the Technique Junkies Design Team is showing off the Technique Junkies new releases for November.
I had the opportunity to meet with Pat at the Hampton Roads show this past month and was able to pick up some great Art Anthology Products. I have to admit I am IN LOVE with these products and am anxious to add more to my collection.
As usual, Pat has come up with some great new stamps for this release and I know you are going to love them. Pat is offering 15% off all November Release Stamps for one week! WooHoo!
I’d love for you to stop by all the design team’s blogs for great ideas and samples of other new November Release stamps you can find in the Technique Junkies Store.
My first card features the “Brick Wall #S646,” which was heat embossed and filled in with “Black Leather Jacket Sorbet” giving the wall fabulous texture! I then added additional color to the wall in Teracotta-Velvet, Pumpkin Spice-Sorbet, and Kenyan Copper-Sorbet. I then stamped “Love My Shoes #SD653” over a brayered background in matching colors using Marvy Metallitcs . I finished off with the sentiment “Celebrate in Style #SDX062” and again edged with more Black Leather Sorbet.
Close Up on Brick
My second card uses the Stained Resist Technique from the “Artistic Effects CD.” I began by stamping “Celestial Dangles #S656” in Versamark then embossing with Stampendous in Aged Gold Enamel. To add color to the dangling stars, I used Distress Stain in Brushed Pewter. My sentiment “To The Moon #SD611” was embossed with gold on Bazzill heavy vellum and wrapped around the card.
My final card uses the same “Stained Resist Technique” from the Artistic Effects CD. I white heat embossed the “Celestial Dangles SD 656” then applied Dusty Concord and Stormy Sky Distress Inks to the stars and dangles. My sentiment is a very versatile stamp called, “Merry Christmas 2 #SDX065” which is stamped on vellum with eggplant powder (hard to see it’s purple), applied on silver glitter paper and wrapped around to avoid seeing the adhesive. I finished with some silver and gold and sequins.
Now, that I’ve shown you what I have to offer, I don’t want you to miss any of the other design teams creativity so I encourage you to start hopping at the Technique Junkies Design Team Blog.
If you are arriving from Robin Redd’s Blog, you in the right place! Gorgeous project Robin!
The next stop is at Pat Huntoon’s Blog.

Oh, Kathy, you outdid yourself. Your cards are all gorgeous, but it’s those shoes and brick wall that make my heart go pitter patter. Lovely, outstanding work.
