Repeat Impressions: Color Challenge
It’s the first Wednesday of the month and that means it’s time for a color challenge at The House that Stamps Built. With Halloween around the corner, we’ve chosen some traditional colors for the season. That said, you don’t have to do Halloween cards. As you see, I’ve chosen a generic hello card for kids.
The Challenge is open through Tuesday, October 13th and there is a $25.00 prize for our random winner. You don’t have to use Repeat Impressions stamps, but if you do, an extra entry is waiting for you.
Now let’s get started with the colors we choose this week:
I began by masking off a diagonal area with post it tape. I then stamped “Star Silhouette (lg) 5111-H” and “Star Silhouette (sm) #5140-C with Versamark Ink and white heat embossed. Then I colored with distress inks in Ripe Persimmon, Twisted Citron, and the new Wilted Violet. Once that was dry, I then took “Star Cluster #2106-G” and stamped the entire background using ONLY WATER. If you are familiar with using distress inks you will know they are reactive to water.
To finish off I stamped one of the new sentiment stamps from “Hello Cling”
I can’t wait to see what you come up with in your color challenge for What If Wednesday at The House that Stamps Built
