The House That Stamps Built: Photo Inspiration
It’s the third Wednesday of the Month and time for The House That Stamps Built photo inspiration challenge. For September, the design team chose a beautiful scenic sunset photo. As with all our challenges, let the photo be your guide and by all means, use creative license in your card. For example, just pick out a color, a shape, or even use just one element that you are attracted to. It’s all about creativity and fun.
Here’s the inspiration chosen by our Rock Stars:
For my card I created a very loose watercolor background using my Gamsi Kuretake Watercolor paints. I started by stamping and heat embossing with copper the Repeat Impressions stamp, “Oak Leaf Silhouette #5110” then stamped a few extra leaves on more watercolor paper which I cut out, distressed, and applied over the embossed leaves. I chose to interpret the focal image as a butterfly, so I stamped Repeat Impressions “Butterfly (sm) 9110-F” and also watercolored and cut him out. The sentiment, “Love Much 3110-F” is from the Repeat Impressions Words to Live By collection and so inspirational.
