Happy Weekend! It’s time for a new Send a Smile 4 Kids challenge and some Fall and Halloween cards! These are some of my favorite cards to make. The challenge sponsors are offering some great prizes to our winners. You have until Friday, September 18th to enter.
I also wanted to remind you that Send a Smile 4 Kids continues to grow and has added even more hospitals and volunteers to take your donated cards. We hope that after you enter the challenge and consider sending your cards to SAS4Kids for children in need. Check out how.
Now, let’s get on to those sponsors:
1) Dollar Graphic’s Depot – Offering a $15.00 Gift Certificate to Store
2) A Day For Daisies – offering a $12.00 Gift Certificate to Store
3) Bugaboo – offering 7 digital images of winners choice
Now how about some inspiration? My first card uses a sweet candy corn image from A Day For Daisies called, “Little Candy Corn Moon.” I began with the background using BV23 & BV25 which I texturized with 91% Alcohol on terry cloth fabric. I then colored the rest of the image and added wink of stella to the stars. My big sentiment is from my stash and unfortunately, I don’t know the maker. My circle dies are from MFT and the arch die is Simon Says Stamp.
My next card is from the Dollar Graphics Depot called, “Fall Lolly & Landon.” This is a great pre-colored digi set with five images for just $1.00! If you are looking to make some quick inexpensive cards, this is the place to look.
I used the Carta Bella “Fall Blessings” paper pack for my card and leaves, which are dies from Impression Obsession. My sentiment is from Clearly Besotted called, “Many Thanks.” The dies used were both Simon Says Stamp rectangle and MFT’s stitched circle. I finished off with some twine and called her done.
Thanks for stopping by and we sure hope you’ll come on over to Send a Smile 4 Kids an play along!
Happy Saturday! Today’s new Sketch Saturday challenge is sponsored by our own Niki who is offering a special prize package for our random winner. Thanks Niki! You have until Friday, September 11th for a chance to win.
Here’s the sketch:
For my card I used a previous Simon Says Stamp card kit stamp set called, “Watt’s Up.” The paper collection is “Sunny” from My Minds Eye. I stamped the light bulb with Simon Says Stamp “Fog” ink and embellished with Wink of Stella Pen. The sun rays are stamped with Hero Arts Butter Bar and the whole card is edged using Antique Linen Distress ink.
I hope you will join in our challenge this week and we look forward to see how you used the new Sketch Saturday Sketch!
