Technique Junkies – Coming up Roses
Hello Junkies, Today I had a chance to play a little with my Technique Junkies stamps using some of the techniques from past newsletters. My first card uses the “Watercolor Roll” technique from the June 2006 newsletter. The medium used in the background is the Caran D’ ache Neocolor II crayons. I colored the beautiful Technique Junkies “Rose #SD108” with Copic Markers in YR 61, YR65, R22, and R24. I die cut a square with My Favorite Things stitched die and embossed the square using a Darice Triangle folder. The sentiment is “Forever and a Day #SD599” stamped in Versafine Black Onyx Ink and heat embossed with clear. My second card uses the “Scor-it Faux Grid” technique from the August 2006 newsletter. There is something about these grid techniques that just makes me happy. I began creating the background using “Batik #SS032” and Hero Arts Ombre Pink to Red ink. I applied more ink all over the background and then sprayed the whole thing with Perfect Pearls mist by Ranger. I then stamped the “Rose #SD108” with the same ink and popped it up over silver thread finishing off with some gorgeous ribbon. Thanks for stopping by to check out my Technique Junkies post. We will be having an exciting Blog Hop beginning July 1st and I understand the new release will be fantastic!
