It’s Saturday and time for a new Send a Smile 4 Kids challenge. Today we are celebrating Animal Cards 4 Kids! Seems like most kids like animals so this should be a great challenge.
You have until Friday, July 10th to enter, which means an extra week!
I also want to share more great news that Send a Smile 4 Kids continues to grow and has added even more hospitals and volunteers to take your donated cards. With OWH closing on August 1st, we sure hope you’ll consider donating some cards for kids in need. Check out how.
Now, let’s see what this week’s sponsors are generously donating:
1) Crackerbox Palace – offering 3 digital images of winners choice
2) All Dressed Up – offering 2 digital images of winners choice
3) DeeDee Digi – offering $15.00 Gift Certificate to store.
My first card features “Friendly Lion” from Crackerbox Palace. I wanted the image directly on my card base for a clean & simple card. The sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps called, “Film Strip Sentiments.” I finished off with a few black pearls and called it a card.
Be careful when you are coloring directly onto your card base with copic markers because they will bleed through if you don’t open your card or use a barrier between the layers when you color. Ask me how I know!
My second card uses an adorable image by All Dressed Up called, “Little Treasure.” I used my Copic’s in the trending colors of mint and coral and a great new Pebbles 6 x 6 paper pack called, “Cottage Living”. The stitched base is a die from Simon Says Stamp and the circle die is My Favorite Things. The sentiment is from The Craft Spot, called, “Tiny Tag 2.”
I can’t wait to see what you come up with using Animal images 4 Kids.
Happy Saturday! Today at Open-Minded Crafting Challenges we are celebrating all things Vintage! This is not in my comfort zone but with great sponsor images, it was a breeze.
You have until Friday, July 3rd to show us your Vintage entries. Our winners are chosen randomly and we have some super sponsors offering prizes for our challenge.
Here are our sponsors:
For inspiration, I used a the super cool Nikki Burnette image called, “Steampunk Josie”. I distressed a woodgrain paper from Prima’s Cartographer collection and cut out the gears from the same paper pack with a Sizzix die. I also distressed the edges with Antique Linen distress ink and added Tim Holtz film strip ribbon and metal embellishment gears. I think she looks sassy alright!
Come on over and enter a Vintage card at Open-Minded Crafting Challenges!
Happy Saturday! It’s a busy Saturday at the Crafty Nurse’s Blog. Today’s new Sketch Saturday challenge is sponsored by Little Miss Muffett, who is generously offering a $6.00 gift certificate to their store for our random winner. You have until Friday, June 26th to enter for a chance to win.
Here’s the sketch:
For my card I used a sweet Little Miss Muffet digital stamp called, “Kiki Ice cream”, which I colored with Copic Markers. I created a freehand frame with my Micron Pigma Pen in .5 and gave her some grass to stand on. I added stamped elements from Paper Smooches “Sugar Rush” collection and a label by My Favorite Things. The paper is American Craft’s Dear Lizzy “Neapolitan” cut out with a Simon Says Stamp die. I finished off with some lemon bakers twine.
I can’t wait to see what you come up with using the new Sketch Saturday Sketch!
