WooHoo, another busy Saturday at the desk of The Crafty Nurse. I hope you are enjoying your weekend so far, I know I am. It’s time for a new Send a Smile 4 Kids challenge celebrating the men in our lives. Your card can be for any Dad, Special Male, or even son. We have some really super sponsors this week too. You have until Friday, May 15th to enter.
Now, let’s get on to those sponsors:
1) Dollar Graphics Depot– offering a $15.00 Gift Certificate to their store
2) Crafty Sentiments – offering 3 digital images of winners choice
3) Inspired by Stamping – offering a $20.00 Gift Certificate
Thanks for your generosity sponsors!!
Now how about some inspiration? My first card uses Dollar Graphics Depot image called, “Kids Playing”. I can’t get over that you get five (5) images in this set for $1.00. Amazing. This sweet boy is colored with Copic Markers. I created the background with my B91 & V20 markers then faded it out with the zero to give it a patchy cloud like look. The paper is from Doodle Bug’s, “Take Note” 6 x 6 pack and the sentiment and star are from Lawn Fawn, “Life is Good.” stamp set.
My second card is Henry from Crafty Sentiments. I colored him with Copics and cut out a frame from My Favorite Things dies to highlight the image. The card base was cut out with the stitched die from Simon Says Stamp using Amy Tangerine’s, “Plus One” collection. The sentiment is from The Craft Spot.
I sure hope you’ll stop by and see all the other great Dad and Special Male cards at Send a Smile 4 Kids.

Happy Saturday! Today’s new Sketch Saturday challenge is sponsored by A Day For Daisies who is offering a very generous $12.00 gift certificate to her store for our random winner. Thanks Tammy! You have until Friday, May 8th for a chance to win.
Here’s the sketch:
For my card I chose the sweet image from A Day For Daisies called, Bird Swing.” I colored the image with Copic Markers and used the new Creative Agenda 6 x 6 paper pack by Echo Park.
To get the sunburst background, I used a sunburst die and alternated the paper to create a unique pattern. The tree die is from My Favorite Things and accompanied the birds well. The sentiment is also from My Favorite Things “Contempo Cafe.”
I can’t wait to see what you come up with using the new Sketch Saturday Sketch!
