You know I love Saturdays and the time I get to spend creating. Today I colored A Day For Daisies image called, “Mailing Love” for the Polka Dot Challenge. I colored her with Copic Markers and Uniball Signo White Gel Pen. Sentiment is Our Daily Bread, “Ornate Frame Sentiments”. I cut the image and surrounding papers with Lawn Fawns rectangle dies. I stamped the My Favorite Things “Romantic” background stamp on the card base but I’m sure you’ve noticed it’s upside down! Darn I hate when I do that. Oh well, not worth scrapping the card. LOL.
Happy Saturday! That means it’s time for a new Send a Smile 4 Kids challenge and we are celebrating Pastel Colors! You have until Friday, April 3rd to enter your pastel card. Again, we have great sponsors who are giving away super prizes.
1) Milk Coffee – offering 3 digital images of winners choice.
2) All Dressed Up – offering 2 digital images of winners choice.
3) The Cutting Cafe– offering 3 digital images or cut files of winners choice.
My first card uses All Dressed Up’s “I Love My Puppy” digital image which I colored with Copic Markers. I then distressed the edges with primsacolor pencils and a paper stump. The paper pack is Simple Stories “Vintage Bliss” which I cut out using My Favorite Things dies. I fussy cut the butterflies and die cut Papertrey Inks’ “Hello” die from the same paper pack. The image is cut from a Spellbinders label die and I colored the background with spun sugar distress ink. I finished off the butterflies with gems.
The next card features Milk Coffee’s “Charlotte with Frilly Umbrella”. She was colored with Copic Markers then fussy cut. I used the same Simple Stories “Vintage Bliss” paper pack as my first card. The flag dies are My Favorite Things as is the button die. The sentiment is Papers Smooches.
I can’t wait to see what you come up with using Pastel colors.
Happy Saturday! Today’s new Sketch Saturday challenge is sponsored by Bugaboo who is offering the randomly chosen winner 7 images from their site! How generous! You have until Friday, March 27th for a chance to win.
Here’s the sketch:
For my card I chose Bugaboo’s “Cowboy Sheriff”, which I colored with Copic Markers and used the My Minds Eye “Boy Crazy” paper pack. The stars are cut out using Simon Says Stamp star dies and the “howdy” sentiment is Club Scrap.
I can’t wait to see what you come up with using the new Sketch Saturday Sketch!
