Today was full of color and I was able to finish my entry for Lindy’s Stamp Gang March Challenge. I used Flat Fabio Spray in, “C’iest la vie Cerise”, South Shore Sand, I’m Late, I’m Late Slate, and Starburst Sprays, Bit of Bubbly and Frostbitten Fushia. I also used Angel Wings Mauve embossing powder on the panel behind the butterfly which is Sticky Back Canvas. I created a pattern using washi tape, then applied versamark and embossing powder. I then sprayed with the Frostbitten Fushia and distressed the edges. The butterfly and number background is the new “perspective” stamp set by Tim Holtz.
Happy Saturday! It’s time for a Winter Vacation at Open-Minded Crafting! As usual we have some super generous sponsors for this challenge so I hope you’ll join us. You have until Friday, March 27th to enter. Our design team will also choose their favorite so check back to see if your card was featured at Open-Minded Crafting Challenges.
Here’s our sponsors this week and the prizes they are offering:
Prize: $10 Dollar Gift Certificate
Prize: 2 Digital Images of Winners Choice
For my card today, I chose, “Girl Waiting” by Illustrations By Jane. She looked like she couldn’t wait to go on a “Winter’s Vacation”. We’ve all had a wicked winter so I can certainly appreciate her sentiments! I colored her with copic markers and used a My Favorite Things frame die for the edge. The white dots are Uniball Signo White Gel Pen.
Can’t wait to see what your Winter Vacation looks like!
Happy Saturday! Today’s new Sketch Saturday challenge is sponsored by Simon Says Stamp! That means a $25.00 gift certificate to our random winner. Yippee. You have until Friday, March 20th for a chance to win.
Here’s the sketch:
For my card I chose a previous kit stamp from Simon Says Stamp called, “Cupcake Party”. The design paper is from Echo Park called, “Note To Self” and I created the sentiment with some of the paper using another SSS stamp set “On the Edge”. The star die is My Favorite Things and I finished off the card with some distress inking around the edge.
I can’t wait to see what you come up with using the new Sketch Saturday Sketch!
